I've gone into it a bit more, with all these new European and South American rumours Any English premiership team must have 8 Homegrown players over the age of 21 when they name their 25 man Squad, so it is going to really affect us this season. We've lost James Collins talk of Byram Carrol leaving and Antonio so how many Homegrown players in the 25 man Squad? I will start this off Cresswell, Noble, Pass,Cullen, Hugill, Browne, Carrol and Fredricks. I make that 8 but there will be players not named in the squad because they will be out on loan Pass, Hugill and Brown. Carrol could be sold so we will need a Mawson Evans Or Wiltshire to make up the necessary core of the club. So when we start talking about Dedonker , Carvello, Pastore,Anderson all great players but we are right on the Borderline and can only get a few of these players so we comply with the FA's rules. So what do we do? got to buy British.

i watched england against nigeria. i have to say that to be fair, we look quite good. Southgate to his credit has ditched the rooneys and we've got some decent young talent. Kane, Ali, Sterling look like a good 3 in attack and southgate has shown that he is flexible with his formations. keep expectation low and we might do o.k.

So newly installed captain of perennial failures England has stated that England can win the WC in Russia. Clearly yet another footballer thick as two short planks who doesn't follow England's football history too well. Every major championship someone or other from the squad comes out and says they can win, forgetting one simple fact. They won't!! The total lack of backbone these prima donnas have and belief that they're the best player in their preferred position is constantly exposed when they set foot on the pitch. I'm looking forward to yet another fall, probably at the group stage, but just maybe the quarters. After that Mr K will be trotting out the already lined up excuses that I believe are part of the England Captain's drafted quotes. Let's just hope he can read!!

Not the choice of the majority, I think that most of us would have liked to see Rafa at the helm but it looks like Manny will be our next manager and the bookies have suspended betting and they don't do that unless they are certain they are going to lose money. I am happy with him he has a good pedigree won European league titles and the fa cup and Premiership titles. One thing for sure we did not want Rannerri another nice guy and 2 months in the players would start taking liberties like they did with Slaven Billic.
I would have liked to see a younger manager but Roy Hodson hasn't done too bad at the palace and as long as Manny gets results, and gets us a cup run whose worried just as long as the players at west ham are a lot younger than him

I think we could pick up Ravel Morrison for peanuts now maybe 2 or 3 million and now he's 25 he might of matured, there is no doubt that he has the talent currently playing in Mexico. I know its a gamble but this is one I'd like to see happen.

Just wondering how much will need to be spent if we stay up and who we need to replace. We definately need a decent replacement for Hart, a couple of decent backs, a decent defending midfielder are definately required. I suppose it will depend on who we sell and how much money we get before the tightwads buy anyone. Must stay are Lanzini, Masuaku, Rice and Auto but I can see Chicherito going as he wants more game time and he is probably our best chance of getting some decent money. Others that need a serious look at moving on are Kouyate, Byram and possibly Reid unless he is happy to be a bench player. As much as Collins loves the club I can't see him getting a new contract so no money for him and even though I will probably be crucified for saying it but Noble will probably be another on the bench more and more next season. The one that worries me is Antonio, he has been prone to a lot of injuries over the last two seasons which will put him in the do we keep him or sell him. Carroll is a definately sell for me, I think someone said his contract has one year to go and I for one don't want to see him collect another small fortune while in the sick room for another season, with a bit of luck we might be able to find a club that will pay a couple of million for him.
So looking at it seriously what sort of money do we need the two Dave's to spend. If we can somehow get say Twenty million for players we ship out I believe replacements of quality players to really give us a fair chance of a better season the club will need to spend at the current ridiculous price of players that will be on the market with what we get would be upwards of forty million. Will they spend or will they go for cheap options and free players.
Interested to know the opinions of people on who should go and who should stay.

Everton, and clearly Fat Sam, keen on Cresswell, paper talk of a £25M bid. I like the guy but this looks like quite good business. Would be sorry to see him go, hes English, established prem player... just wonder what you guys think?
