Old Orgers And New Welcome!

Submitted by nevillenixon on

Maybe it is because we haven't paid too much attention that we haven't mentioned that there have been a lot of 'old timers' who have receently been visiting the site again in addition to a fair few new members, is it because West Ham have suddenly started to do things correctly? It seems the club has finally emerged from it's self induced coma, and how nice it is to see fans of other clubs in meltdown at their owner's lack of transfer activity, isn't that a change?

Your Thoughts on others

Submitted by moore2come on

With the focus rightly on Angleterre what's everyone's thoughts on other nations up and coming or established stars?
For me Mbappe for France has been great as has Cavani for Uruguay. 2 players that would cause serious issues for us should we make it to the final. Along with Brazil v Belgium, the France v Uraguay are quarterfinal games I'm looking forward to.

Calvalho

Submitted by Red Neck Iron on

Currently watching Portugal v Spain 30 mins gone and calvalho looks like he would have fitted in lovely at West Ham last season. Ok different position require different ways of playing and everyone is entitled to a bad run but this guy hasn't touched the ball and has strolled casually through the first half hour making mark noble look like a whippet! Surely he isn't this bad.

Dodgy deals

Ok its just a rumour for now but this kind of thing has happened before and its really whats wrong with the transfer market...Grealish is supposedly interesting chelski who are looking to buy him for £30million then loan him straight back to villa for the season...nothing wrong in that you might think but are they doing such a deal so as to keep him away from there rivals...now spuds/citeh allegedly interested in him so instead of strengthening there own squad it would seem chelski just want to make sure others around them don't..its not sport its not about being competitive its about stopping a rival by any means...I am sorry but this kind of deal if it happens really stinks and the premier league should look into clubs doing such deals..of course I will not hold my breath on that one but seriously to most clubs under the top 4 £30million and just loaning him back is unthinkable but chelski/citeh/manure well its all possible.

Dont like this rumour with Arvautovic

Looks like its possible that we might lose Arnie. At the end of the day, Mourinho must have had permission from the board to speak to him or his agent (brother) so it must be about how much we can get for him Which I don't think should not be less than 60 million. If G&S have not given permission then Mourinio is in big trouble as Arnie is still under contract and is still a West Ham player, trouble is an experienced manager like him would not be that stupid. So I think Arnie will go, there is no loyalty in football and I suppose you can not blame him but I don't think he will stay there long as he will not get so much football with Rashford, Lukaku, Sanchez and Martial. Who knows he might think about this and stay, he is well liked at West Ham he will be a smaller fish at Manure. Mourinio snaffled Sanchez from Arsenal and I wasn't too impressed with him against us, he did not look the same player, so who's to say that Arnie is going to be the same player as he was under Moyes. If he goes then the kitty obviously will go up with Byram gone and probably Snodgrass, reckon that kitty should be around 150 million and I just think we have got to put our trust in Pelligreeni I just hope it will not be the old pals act with Yaya Toure and Rondon one things for sure, they will need to invest all the money they get for Arnie, very wisely or you can kiss the top ten finish Good-bye. Especially with Lanzini out till Christmas the worrying thing about that one is that I think Dean Ashton had the same sort of injury And he was never the same player after that, so we will have to wait and see

Did you know?

I saw an interesting article on teletext today, it's not on there now. Apparently a man was bitten by a rattle snake and had about 35 doses of anti venom. So? I hear you say. Well apparently he was bitten AFTER he had killed the snake by decapitation! Apparently their reflex on the bite can Remain several hours after death!!! Anyone else got any did you knows?
