Wolves interested in Ant

Submitted by alby foreverirons on

Just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are should we keep or sell. We all know that Ant has been shocking over the last 12 month ever since he started playing for Jamaica his form has dropped but should we let him go. He is our highest goal scorer for the last few seasons and he is hard for defenders to cover but at nearly 33 how long do we keep him for. For me we need to see how much they are willing to pay. If we can get £10 million for him and Dawson that would just about cover the cost of Brenton Diaz who is a player that I think would be a great buy for us. The only thing we have to do is get another couple of backs in and then let them go as long as we get the deal with Blackburn set up.

Youngsters, What next!!

Nevers, Chesters and Oko-Flex come back from their respective loans, Perkins Left for Leeds, Ashby wants out and the club is looking at either accepting a nominal fee, with the players agent touting him to Newcastle and Leeds.
Same agency that represents Eddie Howe, and is Marc Warburton's daughter. We've created our own players in the past, but since the 2000's loads of younger players have left, some went on to stardom a lot didn't, we've had Oxford, Ngakia, Boatey, Corbett, Samuelson, Haksabanovic, Cullen, Burke and Alese to name a few, all mentioned as future talents.
Only this past season, Baptiste was a name who great things were expected of, alongside Longelo, Odubeko so prolific for Manchester United Reserve side, and now Ekwah Elimby a signing from Chelsea a couple of seasons ago, who is now set to leave for a pittance, yet our Club has been called ' The (Supposed) Academy of Football' then why are there so many who don't make it??

Sh*t or bust

So what happens if we lose tonight, will he stay or will he go as Joe Strummer once said!Rumours are that they may stick with Moyes regardless of what happens, because he's the type of manager that we would go for in this situation...what a sad state of affairs & to be expected from the BS brigade, this is probably the biggest decision in our history & not to be taken lightly because relegation with this stadium will be a disaster for our club...so thoughts please what would you all do? Shit or bust?

We need players with pace

Submitted by alby foreverirons on

Players like Cresswell, Dawson, Fabianski and Antonio are getting on a bit and we can all see the faults more and more so they need to be bench players at best. Our biggest problem is our leaky defence which puts every other player under pressure. When we where playing well it didn’t matter if they scored first because the confidence was there that we would score especially at home but now as soon as they score we drop our heads and start passing sideways or backwards leaving players like Benny, Bowen and Scammacca out of the equation. Even Decs seems to pass the ball more backward then forward lately. Hopefully Aguerd will be back for Leeds but he will need help and until Zouma is back Dawson will have to do but he seems to have his mind on going home and is not what he’s been for us the last couple of seasons. Against Brentford Moyes dropped Soucek and put Paqueta in his place which is where he plays for Brazil, he’s not a number 10 and until we conceded we played ok.
Looking at last season the shit set in early, Antonio kept flying off to Jamaica and lost his form but Bowen came good, Cresswell kept getting beat by anyone that wanted to get past him and as we all know got himself sent off and suspended and we lost our chance to play Champions league, Rice decided he wanted to go forward more so to cater to him Soucek got told to stay back and he lost his way, Coufal had a hernia because of what should have been a sending off and hasn’t been the same since. We are going to lose Ashby because he can’t get a game, Moyes needs to play the best player in their natural position instead of catering to their whims and things will turn around. We have the players to do it if they can get a chance.
