Do We Need Policing?

Submitted by Louis Nixon on

As you all know, we do our best to keep the site running smoothly with as little intervention as is possible, we concentrate on generating enough revenue to finance our super secure server but without inundating our visitors with advertisements. We think we have achieved a near perfect balance however we do once in a while ask the question as to whether we should intervene in 'site spats' or just leave them to run their course. So we ask this question, as members and visitors are you happy with the way the site is moderated or do you think we should be more proactive?
If you have an opinion please let us know, we are planning some restructuring in order to spread the editorial work load which has been borne by the Ed for too long, given he has been unwell he needs time to get better and should be concentrating on that rather than sorting out site problems.

With rumours coming to light that Mason Mount & Reece James being the 2 Premier League stars who are gay. (not yet announced/come out) will Chelsea now be nicking our chant of 'Come on you Irons'! Will we still be allowed to sing it?

Question for Nev

Submitted by Betty Swollox on

Alright Nev? Hope you're all good? I just wanted to check on the criteria for joining this site. I've been coming on here I reckon for at least 15 years and it seems that there is an age restriction on posters joining the Org. I have a 17 year old son, born unfortunately for him into West Ham like myself, but I'm not sure he'd be allowed to join? Your Moderators on here seem to be belittling younger people as if their opinions don't matter, and I've lost count of the times I've seen this is an 'adult site'. Is it 18 or 21 and over? Also is it just age restrictive, or are one's political stances moderated too? If a woman joins does she automatically qualify for flirting with or is there a settling in process? What about religious or ethnicity backgrounds? How does one become a moderator? Is it just a case of follow the leader playground style or is there a process?

Bowen & England

Submitted by Enfieldhammer on

Just seen the England squad for the upcoming World Cup & to me it's a shambles. On form Bowen does not deserve to be in there & probably played himself out of a place. But when you look in full. Wow! The defence us awful. Trent, Maguire, Dier, Coady, White & Shaw. Walker is injured. Then in midfield. Kalvin Phillips (has he played this season) and Gallagher who does not even start for his club. Then up front. Rashford, Sterling and Grealish. All back out of form. Absolute joke. Shambles of a squad. Shambles of a manager. Sneak through the group and sent packing in first knockout game.

Do the Hammers hold the key to English World Cup glory?

Submitted by Enfieldhammer on

Was discussing the upcoming World Cup & England's chances plus the concern of the frailty of our back line. In previous tournaments we were lucky to have the likes of Moore, Charlton, Watson, Butcher, Thompson, Adams, Terry to name a few. A luxury not afforded to us now. For me the best English Centre Half over the past 2 years has easily been our Craig Dawson. How he has not made the squad is a massive travisty. And who better to play alongside him? None other than Declan Rice. These 2 are much better than the current shower of Maguire, Stones, Coady, Dier, Mings and who else you care to name. Thoughts please Ladies & Gentleman.

Are you Moyes IN or OUT

Submitted by cast iron on

I was a Moyes in, and was behind him till the Silkeborg game when I thought well we've got to give him some time and I still believe you have got the first 10 games to see how he does and bed in new players in. I am now 50 -50 and the jury is definitely out. If I was him I'd be loyal to myself if the fans want to change -then give it to them instead of keep playing his favorites, Soucek, Fornals, Bowen,Antonio Cresswell and Coufal. These are all players that are on every fan's lips drop em and make them battle for their team's shirt even Paqueta. SO DO IT. We can all see it, why can't Moyes, don't know if he is too loyal or too stubborn one thing is for sure if he doesn't play Flynn Downes Don't trust Scamacca, gives Cornet a bit part, and doesn't pick up 7 points by October 16th ( Southampton Away) he will be gone- and I am afraid to say he will deserve it. I have always been an "In Moyes we Trust" supporter, give him a bit of time, But he doesn't have it with this World Cup looming up and he has tried everybody's patience with the Everton result and previous bad tactical mistakes- its the teams HE picked. For Christ's sake do something different even if you get the sack at least you have tried. It won't stop there either, Before Moyes goes I think this board will give a month to Warburton don't know what to expect with that, don't know much about him, but I don't see the board getting rid of our backroom staff which they will probably have to do if they get Pochettino in because we still have a good backroom staff Rob Newman, Nolan, Nevill, etc so lets hope Moyes wakes up. I don't want to see him fail let's hope he drastically changes his side for Wolves. Four premiership games and West Ham get a couple of points - and he's gone, and he will deserve it, he's has been given all the tools this time, and he will be the one to take the blame, and rightly so, already fans are wondering if the team's size is too big to handle as he is used to a smaller squad. Think October is going to be the most important month in his managerial career which is now 1050 games, and with 7 more in October with the conference league games and he has no time to change with the international break this will be the only time to try to put it right, and that will be with 6 international players missing as well, and when they come back they will all be knackered so for me, drop Bowen Definitely same with Soucek even these 2 out of the side will be a step in the right direction to turn the corner by playing Downes and Cornet, you know it makes sense Moysie do something positive.

We Know whats coming next dont we

Michael Oliver referee for the Toffees match and Mike Dean looking to make sure he can chalk off yet another goal bet Var is used in the wrong way to stop certain teams from scoring goals with a player's hand being offside or his big toe- this game will tell the prem whats coming next and how these 2 can mess up our beautiful game. Come on the greedy 6 we are not wanted. Don't mind VAR being used for what it was originally used for, to help the refs out on difficult decisions or mistaken identities, etc but it seems that referees are so arrogant and refuse to go to the monitor and then send the Leeds manager off, and when they do chalk off perfectly good goal like our goal against Chelski. Wonder if Madley is refereeing this week - should be banned!

Their finest hour ,Gold and Sullivan that is. Tic toc Moyes the clock is running !

Well the Gobby One and mate, certainly knocked the winds out of my sails .Back in time on the benches of The Org ,myself and the likes of Brother Enfield warned everyone that the Dildo Brothers would squeeze every penny out of the Club and invest peanuts. We warned everyone what the transfer windows would be like .Freebies ,Cheapies and loan after loan. Which was the case !

They got their mates in the media to spin their phantom 'bids' .Linked EVERY top player under the sun ,needless to say they never happened .God NO ONE knows more than the Gobby One and Uncle Albert ,how to make sure that a transfer collapses !It has been the SAME FOR THIRTY YEARS! They started off with MARODONA while at Birmingham City !They leaked it to their many mates in the media ,that they were closing in on Maradona !Of course it was UTTER BOLLOCKS !!

Maradona ,signed for Sevilla. When asked about Birmingham ,Maradona said he had never heard of them, surprise !surprise !They certainly know how to exploit the media through contact built up through their Daily Sport years !They play the media like a fiddle !,they hand out exclusives like pockets of popcorn .Early in the summer transfer window ,it is RAZZLE DAZZLE TIME !We are linked with every expensive target going ,of course they don't happen !

Yet after ALL these years ,I marvelled at some still keeping the faith !!l Targets linked for a few days, then the transfer collapses .Either through failing to agree personal terms, failing to agree a fee with the selling Club ,failed medical ,selling Club can't get a replacement ,greedy agents .You have heard the crap over and over AGAIN !No need for me to tell you !So imagine my shock with the Gobby One, and Uncle Albert's work this window .Bloody outstanding .Excellent value for money and quality .

Many say it is Kretinsky's money ,some say it the Rice money and they are spending it early .Who knows .Either way they have spent it wisely and on the team. The jury is still out on Kretinsky, in my opinion .Sparta fans hate him and say he doesn't spend money. Even if it was his money ,without The Gobby One and Uncle Albert, there is every chance he would of been ripped off !I fear for football ,financial Armageddon awaits the likes of Forest ,Everton ,Leicester and the rest !When Clubs are paying FORTY MILLION for players who are not even first team regulars ,then you know football is in trouble !Agents have had a field day this window .Even the likes of Todd Boehly ,have vastly over paid for players.

In bringing in :Areola, Aguerd, Downes,Scamacca,Cornet,Kehrer,Emerson and Pacqueta .Not only has David Moyes been backed ,but he has a squad capable of playing ANY type of football. I salute David Moyes, for the outstanding job he has done for the last two seasons .BUT,I just wonder if he is starting to feel the pressure .He stated to the media that he wanted MORE signings ,which sounded like someone already looking for excuses .

There have been suggestions that some are not his signings .Lets leave the Gobby One and Uncle Albert out of it .Any business Owner, has the right to ask questions .Kral and VLasic were Moyes picks they flopped ,he wanted Lingard and we got Pacqueta which is a massive upgrade .There is always a give and take at every Club, between a manager and Board. The fact is that since January, the quality of football we have produced has been dire .I have seen better football under Big Sam !I'm afraid Moyes lacks a plan B. On the counter and that is it !Team's have been saying :"Right !you have got the ball, let's see what you can do ?"We have created NOTHING !We have been played off the park against the likes of Southampton ,Brentford TWICE ,Leeds and relegated Burnley !They have cut through our midfield like butter !

There was an argument to be had that last season we never had the squad ,we certainly do now .Yes we were unlucky against Chelsea ,as we were robbed by Var .But the simple fact is this .We have lost four out of six matches.Playing the likes of Souceck ,Bowen and Coufal ,is negative !Playing with Souceck is like playing with ten men ,slow ,hoofs the ball forward ,or shovels the ball back to his mate Coufal .The opposition WALK past him ffs !You put Fornals next to Rice ,Cornet at eight or ten .Out goes Bowen and in comes Benhrama, Bowen has pace and that's it !Zero technical ability ,run's with his head down into no man's land. Perhaps the Coaches ,could get Bowen to lift his head up. Hopefully Ben Johnson is fit soon ,because Coufal can't cross a ball and he gets done by the opposition time and again !

The more we get the likes of Cornet ,Benhrama ,and Pacqueta together the better. It will give them the chance to form a understanding ,once they do gel ,we are going to see some great football .In the brutal world of Premier League Football ,you don't get time .We have lost four matches ,lose against Newcastle and doubts creep into the players minds. The Gobby One and Uncle Albert, don't sack managers easily .But having spent the type of dough, they have this window, in the words of good old Eggy ,they might "cut Moyes throat "I hope it doesn't happen. With the squad we have got ,we are a attractive proposition for any manager !Great days lay ahead !,the only question is will David Moyes be in the managerial saddle. We are more than a football Club ,we're a way of life !COYI!!!

Transfer window.

Submitted by alby foreverirons on

Just wondering how you all rate the transfer window and the reaction by what Moyes is saying. I saw the interview and was surprised that he stated he wants to have players that will allow him to change things when needed. He even admitted that he was surprised that Pak man actually signed for us.
My rating for the window is 9 out of 10, I would have rated it a 10 if we had another striker but now Ant has to raise his game as he got his wish of someone to push him in Scamacca. For me the buy of the season for us could be Kehrer, it was a rough start giving the free kick away and then the own goal but he really excites me, his passing and speed looks fantastic. Let’s hear some views.
