Panic button pressed already

Slow news day for SSN so they resurrect the story Arnie to manure....it has sent many a west ham site into meltdown and you have to laugh...any truth in the rumour then there is little we can do about it.....the top four sides can cherry pick from the rest and if manure want Arnie they will get him...love the line trotted out by west ham.. Arnie is not for sale even for £50million...but in doing so they are saying he does have a price...of course all players do and if he goes I will be sad to see him go after a bad start he hit top gear and was our best player by a long chalk....the best way of dealing with this and the only way really otherwise we could have another Payet saga on our hands is to let him no we want him to stay and are willing to give him a better contract(if he is in the Falcons plans of course)and hope he realises that at west ham he is a big fish and a starter where as at manure he is going to be competing with sanchez lukaku rashford for a starting place and most likely be warming the bench and get the odd league cup match etc..still its a wait and see and as annoying to some as it may well be we live in a world where money talks but it will be fun seeing sugo running around trying to explain why they have cut the Falcon off at the knees before the season started!

Bale hints he wants a move

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Sullivan in talks about a possible move for Bale after his announcement after last nights champions league game that he needs to play regular football....with masuaku in fine form bale may find it hard to break into our side and with Fernandez also spraying the ball around it may mean we could miss out but an initial £500 thousand bid followed by 1000000000000000 £100 instalments over 90000000000000 months may clinch a deal...we also offer a basic wage of £20thousand with extra incentives that could see it go as high as £45 thousand......I'm ordering my new replica shirt with Bale on the back...

New Kit unveiled

bit old to be worrying about the replica shirt debate but have to say I like the look of the new shirts but just waiting for the 3rd/4/5/6/7/8/9/10th kits to be revealed! before taking my nephew to get his....doing overtime so I can afford one lol...just hope we have a decent set of players in them this time around apart from the odd one or two

Player Recruitment

Might as well get this discussion started. Not interested in the insane rumours here, but I am interested in who you think we should sign and why, especially if there's a rumour that has legs. Take one example: Hegazi from WBA for £2.5M (release clause). No brainer to me: 2.5 is nothing in football these days (it's only a quarter of what was paid for Hugill). Hegazi would bring comptetition and potentially hold a place in the first team. Can't be a bad thing to go for this. Moral of story: get it done quickly before the agents whip up a bidding war that makes it ridiculous to sign him. Here are some other ones for me:

Toure: no way. if it's true that Pellegrini likes a high line, we have got to have big, fast backs and defending midfielders who can do the business. We need a box-to-box midfielder with an engine that won't quit and deft passing. Carvalho anyone? (Or reasonable alternative?)

Butland: Go for it. Look, I like Adrian, but I think Butland is a better keeper. I guess this debate could go on a long time, since the question is whether Butland is worth what it would cost to get him (£25M-£30M). But I think it's worth a shot. We gave up the most goals of any team in the EPL last season.

Joao Mario: A must sign, for me.

Dendonker: Worth seeing if the deal can be done.

I think if we get those three, plus Hegazi, a few gambles (not old farts), then we are in a decent position. Keep Arnautovic, Chicha, Lanzini, Antonio, Noble, Masuaku, Cresswell, Rice, Noble, Adrian, Zabaleta (for one more season), Ogbonna. Bye-Bye to Carroll, Kouyate, Reid, Byram, Hugill.

No Hart

Submitted by moore2come on

Well that's refreshing. An England manager that doesn't wait until the player drops dead or can't walk before deciding he can't play for England anymore!
Hart, he of the bloody awful form throughout WH's season has been dropped from the England squad for the upcoming WC.
Should cheer the defenders up at least!

Just pay the money and appoint Benitez

so Moyes has gone, either pushed out or more likely decided theres too much going on at the club to stay, either way we need a new manager. Once again you wonder why there seems little in the way of preparation for this, surely they didnt wait to the last game to think whether they wanted moyes to stay on? that said, the names are coming thick and fast - fonseca, pelligrini, emery, arsene wenger, donald trump, you name him, he's 'interested'. for me we need someone who can get a grip on the club, someone who commands respect immediately. the last thing we need is a 'new to the premier league' gamble imo. those are only ever successful if they are given big funds initially because they aren't the 'get the best out of what we have' types. For me the obvious choice now is Benitez. vast experience in this league and in europe, organises, works, works and has decent pulling power in the market too. surely he would be tempted to pack it in at newcastle now after a miracle season on no funds. he was interested before. of course theres the question if he actually still wants the job after the recent circus shows this season, but for me he needs to be the first in the interview room.

First in the queue

Paulo Fonseca.....seen at sullivans mansions yesterday evening and allegedly interviewed for 75mins about the managers job.....emery(not dick)pellegrini and Benitez supposedly our other targets to manage the club...how long will the process take? not sure the way our board go about things but they have to make a choice and make it quick....So Fonseca what does he bring to the table? knowledge of the portugese transfer market no doubt which it seems to be what Sullivan is currently interested in....but why leave a club in the champions league for a team with dodgy owners and a disgruntled fanbase?
