Despite our fantastic display and win over Chelski El Pel still has a lot to make up for if he is to survive the chop but would Eddie Howe the much touted for and if you believe what you read the favoured choice of the board be any different? Courted by many clubs according to the media and yet no one seems to of made an approach so why is that? it cannot be because of the cost of getting him away from Bournemouth because that is just the price of doing business.....i just wonder about Howes ambtion because right now he is very comfortable in a job he has done bloody well over the years and keeping a club like Bournemouth in the premier league is an incredible achievement...he is astute in the transfer market and has many many players comparable to our own but being able to push on with a club of that size is difficult but would it be any different for him with us? i doubt that greatly....he would be under pressure to immediately to improve an underachieving group of players
his ability to get the right players in would be scrutinized a hell of a lot more than where he is right now and a fan base that demands good football which he does provide and winning a cup and finishing in the top 8 which though a not a god given right to do so when you have sixty thousand fans at home games demanding such a thing when compared to the twelve thousand at Bournemouth has he the guts and drive to want/make a move happen...Manure/Spuds/Chelski all muted to of been interested in getting him in and yet when the Chance has arisen nothing ever happened you have to ask why?...so whilst i admire the job he is doing down there the difference between managing them and a much Bigger club and all the pressure and expectation that comes with it i for one am not so sure he could or would be given the time...and if If you believe the papers today about Brendan Rogers having a release clause and wanting the Arsenal job would Leicester then take a chance on Howe?

Its not a quick fix but we really miss a good spine / heart of the team. Some call it a "Core". The likes of Leicester, Burnley and Bournemouth have it in bucket loads. What I mean by that is a group of players that know each other and play for each other. Previously I would have added Watford but this season they also have something lacking.

I put our troubles down to a constant change all over the club. The last three years have seen nothing but change. Starting with the obvious move from UP, managers, players, backroom staff etc etc. We have no heart / spirit but absolutely no consistency. Players brought in have never IMO matched what left. Obvious is Snoddy with Payet or Haller with Arnie. But lots of others. We seem to have lost some of the backbone unsung players like Cheikhou Kouyaté, Pedro Obiang and even James Tomkins and... at a push Adrian. I think this is down to the merry go round of managers and the owners who think the best way to pacify the fans is with marque overseas signings when maybe a few local hard working pro's is the answer for a club like ours? I also think our academy has totally dried up particularly when you compare to Chelsea and Im not even referring to the kids in the first team but to all the kids they have out on loan that are settling the football world a lite.

Short term we need some sort of result but must have confidence. I would start with Rice moving back to Centre back and just sealing up the gaps. Martin in goal, I think he is also poor but still better than Roberto.

Or... Pray for a miracle that Antonio and Lukasz Fabianski make a quick return?

Where me and many many west ham fans of a certain generation would see a G/K worse than the infamous Allen McKnight....my god Roberto where do you begin what can you say our defence has no faith in this man catching any cross coming into the box he has the continental punching the ball away at any cost which 9 times out of 10 does not relieve the pressure.....he has to be dropped otherwise it will only get worse give me a rookie g/k any day because our defence as i said porous as it is are now just panicking every time a ball comes into the box..

Ever since the Oxford UTD defeat we have been spiraling out of control and as much as the players must take a lot of responsibility for there performances on the pitch the manager has to take it as well for stubbornly persisting with playing one man upfront as the so called flair and creative players he got in are just not supporting or creating the chances for Haller.
If ever a man needs taking to task right now it is El Pel the team are slow they play to hit on the counter but of course teams think naa screw that we aint playing the way you want we will just sit back and bide our time for you too mess up which we do of course and we have no answer no other way to play and that is down to the manager pure and simple.
Palace/blunts/geordies that is one point from those three home games well that is relegation form.
Burnley away loss Spuds home loss Chelski away loss Wolves away loss Gooners home loss Southampton away Loss.
That is our next six matches El Pel you have had your "winnable" games now we start to play better sides apart from the 1st and sixth match but i do not see us troubling any of those the only fixture of course where the players will try is against the Spuds because they no they dare not put in a sub standard performance against that mob because they will not be forgiven.

That's 1 point achieved from last 4 games (3 at home) where we should have picked up 10 points minimum! I thought we were going in the right direction before the Palace debacle.
I would play Fabianski injured rather than that piece of shit Roberto in goal. The defence can't have no confidence with him behind them. Zabaleta needs putting out to grass, too slow. Time is also catching up with Noble. Being fireworks season can someone stick a rocket up Anderson's arse? What's going on with Fornals? He looked a classy player in the summer Euro U21'S tournament.
So, who do we get in? How much money is available in January? If Rumours are to be believed, Man Utd have offered £80m for Rice? I think this money should be taken sooner rather than later.

Manuel Pellegrini will be scratching his well coiffured head as to how he should motivate his players, perhaps he should 'withdraw' a couple of his high profile signings and give others a chance? We believe he should also be more flexible in his team formation and play to Haller's strengths, go with two up front occasionally!
