so, we are where we are. Owners that have decided selling is better than buying again. phantom transfers like Tarkowski again - bids that just get rejected.
that said, Moyes will have to get on with the job regardless. whether we think he's good or not, hes not going anywhere I guess.
so, what can we do to sort this mess out?
In my opinion, I think our best hope is to sort the attitudes out of Haller and Anderson. Its clear that the team against Newcastle won't be good enough for more than a basement battle again - it was toothless and lacking any sort of creative spark.
as much as I like Ant, I don't think he can do the striker role. I think it was a flash in the pan scoring spree last season. so, that leaves us with Haller, literally as there is no one else. So, what are the options guys?
Haller and Ant up front? Haller with Ant, Bowen and Fornals/Yarmo? Anderson playing some sort of a Di Canio role around Haller?
I hope Moyes can see the limitations of the side and is going to at least try to improve it rather than sit with the same game after game. My worry is he might alienate Anderson, Haller completely and while I agree they probably need it, we will only shoot ourselves in the foot as no one is going to buy them and we are stuck with them.
So we are not going to win the league this season and now the league cups here Charlton at home do you want a cup run this season or concentrate in staying in the league? and just what sort of side will Moyes pick and if we lose(God Forbid)where will we go from there...not a week old and the same old problems arise.
Yeah, we never win 1st game but let's face it this was dire. Youve had weeks to prepare for this. Where was the energy? The passion to push forward? I must say even haller n yarmo looked a better option when they came on.
Just look at Leeds energy n desire compared to ours. Why?
You can see similarities with Everton to us last season. Only Everton look like getting it right. Big name manager comes in, big money spent.
Whereas we bought Anderson and haller. Everton have got Rodriguez, Allan and Dacoure. The difference in quality is vast.
Our attempt if 'moving into top 6' failed miserably. Let's see how ancellotti gets on. I suspect, a lot better.
He's on the coaching staff of the west ham academy ???,
Blimey, i thought we had no money,no offence mate ,but couldn't you find a proper job ?,
How about bringing big Sam back as special advisor to the kit man
So Diagana is on his way! Is it just me who believes for £12m WBA have got Sale of the fucking Century? Why has one of our hottest prospects, current England U21 player been allowed to leave for so little? This piece of business makes absolute no sense to me. Moyes wants to build a team of young British talent. Why has he allowed Diagana to leave and for so little. Surely he could have fetched double! I was so looking forward to seeing Diagana on the left & Bowen on the right.
After seeing Eze move to Palace another known target Matty Cash is on the move from Forest to Villa & Brighton being linked to another target Rico Henry the Brentford Left Back for £7m. I could understand selling Diagana if we had purchased Eze. But not being able to compete with Palace, Brighton & Villa just shows how mis-managed West Ham United has been. Really hope we are not going to blow our wad on Brentford's Said Benrahma. A player who goes missing on the big occasion.
Mark my words Rice will be gone soon but not before Fornals. Again sold cheaply for a quick buck with no fans being able to voice their opinions and the positions we need filled will be by freebies & over the the hill has beens on an astronomical wage. I hate Gold & Sullivan. Bastard Vampires sucking the blood out of our club!
When David Moyes came to West Ham the first time he had failed at Man U. I personally did not like his style of football at the time but he kept us in the Premier perhaps with too much hit and hope for me but it worked.
Second time round I thought he was doing it again as we struggled to win games before the lock down just hitting the ball anywhere up field out of defence as teams turned us over too many times.
Something changed during that period of lock down and though we lost at the restart we went on to win and draw our way out of the relegation zone with some very good football. The two pre-season games we are looking good although it was against lower opposition in Wycombe and Ipswich.
I just hope it continues when the Premier league starts again and when they let us back in the London Stadium I can enjoy my football and not sit there hoping we don't throw it away again.
Has David Moyes finally got West Ham playing again with confidence? I hope so and it does not turn out to be a false dawn as it was at Man U
Well Eze come Eze go. In this case he goes and has gone to Crystal Palace. So much for that one!! Now go out and get Watkins and Benpajamarama from Brentford!!!!!!!
So, all this talk of signing the likes of Stones, Duffy, Eze etc is complete nonsense. Today, Messi has handed in a transfer request at Barcelona after having his head turned by the lure of working under David Moyes. Apparently Moyes was so impressive during his time at Real Sociedad, that Messi just cant wait to be a part of his dazzling brand of football.
