I fear this season we will finally fall through the Premier League trap door & into Championship oblivion. Any further signings made will be last ditch deadline day dross. Last season proved the calibre of most of the players at West Ham are simply not good enough. In the 2 signings Moyes has made Bowen & Soucek they have certainly improved the squad. But reckless spending in the Pellegrini era have left us with our back to the walls. At present we are being linked with players like Shane Duffy from Brighton. Not a player who will improve us especially if Diop is to be sacrificed as reported. I thought young Eze at QPR would have been a shoe in but somehow Crystal Palace are in a better position than us. This player is a player we have been linked with for a while & would have been a great compliment to Bowen on the left. Why we allowed Fulham to land Antonee Robinson from Wigan for £1.9m is staggering. Another player which certainly fits Moyes plan going forward. Unless we can move the underperforming overpaid alleged superstars on, someone needs to get a tune out of them. If our plan is for Antonio to lead the attack we are doomed. He is one stretch away from weeks/months out.
With the first 6 games we have we could be down by October. Confidence shred to pieces. Below average squad. The club need to back Moyes & stick with him. I believe we could end up with the Everton Moyes if he is given a chance.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles a fullback and can play midfield if needed young talented premiership experience available on a free from the gooners just the type of player Moyes is said to be looking for and yet Wolves are close to sealing a 4 year deal with him so i have to wonder why we have not looked at him or are we only interested in cheap Foreign defenders who have no experience of the premier league.

Opening day fixture rumour is that we will be playing the bin dippers at home....now is it just me or does the premier league computer have a problem with us considering our opening day fixture for the last 6 years or so.

Let them show us that they are willing to fight for there place and want to be a part of the squad under moyes....its a perfect situation we are safe Villa will be up for it big time because they still need a win to be safe so it will not be a meaningless end of season affair so lets see if these players are up for it or need moving on to create the money Moyes will need to improve the squad i did not include wheelchair in that lot because he may get injured and then we have no chance of off loading that injury prone donkey...i used to think Freddie Ljunberg was the biggest waste of time and money we had ever had but he was an amateur compared to Carroll and Wheelchair....anyway getting away from the point of the post there but lets see if any of those mentioned will prove that they still want to play in a West Ham shirt next season.

Watched last nights match v The red side of Manchester and a few things I noticed ... even without a full stadium the Mancs don't get players sent off, Pogba could have walked for his handball (should at least have got a yellow) Matic kicked blue murder out of Bowen and Fernandes should have seen red for his petulance.
Notable too that I thought for the second game in succession after conceding early in the 2nd half how the players rallied and indeed did not panic and got back into the game, it was pleasing to see along with the guille of Declan Rice and the work load of both Antonio and Bowen. Johnson was excellent limiting Rashford and Nobes for me is an absolute star for putting Fernandes back in his box.
Overall a superb performance and we were at very least worthy of a point.
Now onto Villa where I hope Decs makes the wannabe Grealish look really ordinary!

Looks like finally manager and players are in unison and have been excellently so since the Covid return.
So do West ham play better without fans? or has Moyes found the right players to do the job?, yea obviously it is the latter he has kept out the lazy arrogant big star no shows which is good. Soucek and Bowen have been brilliant Antonio and Ogbona too.

Been thinking a lot about the future of Declan Rice & West Ham Utd.
As good as he is are we really going to be able to keep him in the Claret & Blue? For me it's just a question of when & the best deal that can be achieved. At present Chelsea look favourites & to be honest if we can get Berklay & £50m I would bite their hand off. Don't want any other of their dross.
£50m would go a long way to fill a few holes we need filling.

so he's been up front and scoring like crazy. But is this a flash in the pan or is he cut out to play this role? history shows us that hes o.k as a one up front in short periods, then he can look rather cumbersome and wasteful. if you were Moyes, what would the plan be? Make Antonio the main man and play Bowen and co around him? or look for an out and out striker (replace Haller)? but in so doing where does that leave the beastly Antonio?

its a dilemma because how many goals a season will Antonio likely get playing as the main striker? at the same time, hes too good to go to waste. Do we shift he out wide in a 3 and get a goal machine for the middle?
