Or is it that simple? Quite frankly, neither goalkeeper are Premier League standard, both having serious flaws to their game. Much excitement has been made about how well Areola has been lately whereas my opinion is that he has at last been doing things you'd expect a goalkeeper to do during a game.
Hermansen on the other hand was dumped in at the deep end under a seriously flawed Potter system so I guess we've not really seen what he can do but unfortunately he DOES have a height issue.
I'm pretty much on the fence on this one but given that only one of those keepers has managed clean sheets this season I suppose it gives one the slight edge.

That is my opinion because i think it will take 40/41 points this time around to stay up so where do they come from?
home games against Wolves/Bournemouth/Everton are must wins...Arsenal/Citeh/Manure(revitalised)will be tough to get points out of those fixtures but maybe we could squeak two points leaving us to find ten more points from Palace/Brentford/Villa/Chelski/Barcodes/Bindippers/Fulham/Burnley away.....not easy but we have to beat Palace/Brentford/Burnley/Fulham to secure our future.

So three home wins and four away a very tough ask but that is for me what will be required...will the games pan out that way well common sense tells you it never does but i still say we need 21 more points to be safe and considering we only have 20 now well it will be the greatest escape ever considering thew board!

As for who we send down it would be lovely to see the spuds go but i have a sneaking feeling Palace are wobbling big time and it will be them not us COYI.

I'm a big fan of Hammers United and the BS Out campaign.

However, on Saturday, as part of the protest, they are asking for supporters to boycott the first 15 minutes and enter the stadium with a Red Card. It should have an effect given its live on TV.

I'm normally a BIG fan of the protests however, I spent £53 on a pretty decent seat so missing around 15%ish (any maths experts out there?) of the game, upsetting anyone that was seated and not interested in the protest (could be tourists?) is not an easy decision... My life!

Spuds today and normally throughout the week the banter between me and my bruv would be flying but nope not this time for me it is just gone flat no desire to dish out anything and that says it all in a match that above all others we must not lose it is just not giving me goosebumps or nerves before the kickoff....nope nothing at all and i truly hate the people who run the club for causing that....and the Players for having no guts for a fight...Spuds are in a bad moment but nothing compared to us but honestly after the Wolves debacle i can see this being worse.

I haven't posted on here for some years now, but with all the chatter going on about this, here's what I think.
A manager who can "win ugly" and grind out results is the only way to go. Forget the myth of "entertaining" football or weaving pretty patterns all over the field.
Sacking the manager is easy, the difficult part is appointing the right replacement, which to me is NOT Di Canio, Bilic, Parker etc.
I personally would never have appointed Espirito Santo, Potter or Lopetegui as all were for various reasons,"damaged goods".
Gary O'Neill is a possibility, as is Carrick, but I'd now be having a chat with Allardyce on a contract to the end of the season with an option for another year should we go down, as if that were to happen he'd get us back up.
That's my view, and as unpopular as it may be, feel free to fill your boots and c**t me off for it, but I'll back my judgement 100%.

Most unusually I left early, the trains were a mess and I couldn't afford to miss a connection as this would have added nearly an extra two hours to the journey, next week I will drive!

So having left about 5 mins early I headed fleet of foot to Stratford with a fair few others chuntering about the game and lack of defense, lack of this, lack of that, the usual stuff.

When I got close to Westfield, just outside the station and the last point of the marshals slowing or stopping / halting the crowd, the main Marshal / Steward thought it ever so funny to play through his phone and the loudhailer Monty Python Life of Brian Always Look On The Brightside of life.

I just thought on the train that I was totally wrong about the move to the BoM and all my initial positivity had evaporated. It really was the moment our club truly died, we lost our heritage, our culture... in the words of every away fan to the BoM "We sold our soul for this ****hole!"
