For me Pacman has to be benched he is nowhere at the level required and his heads not in the game.....Summerville needs to start and yes Areola needs to come out and Fab in but i think we need now to be looking for a new GK as well but that will be next summer.

Injuries is the only thing that Jlo has no control over but for a man who likes to flash the credentials or rather his pals do i have to say i am not impressed and again you have to ask what has changed?

Throughout our history we as a club now and then find a top striker only to sell them on without any kind of plan as to who will succeed the departed frontman it is for everyone who supports the club very very annoying.
The decisions on buying a new striker is equally frustrating when you see the ones we are "interested" in but decide against it as he is not a Salthouse man!.
Viktor Gyökeres the ex Coventry striker who was doing really well in the championship we had a chance to get this player but for whatever reason you give and the one told is £20million was to much for the player Sporting Lisbon thought not and now his value is said to be at least 3 times that and he is scoring goals for fun. Ivan Toney another one offered to us for £10million and Sullivan said no but admits he does regret that one.
So when you see the list that we were "linked" with throughout the Summer yet somehow decide that Antonio will be worth hanging onto for one more season and Fulkrug and this is not having a go at the player in any shape or form but deciding that we will spend £27million on a 31 year old play that has had injuries seemed very short sighted and a panic buy for me.
Was there ever a Duran deal to be done? if there was whoever knocked that on the head will have egg all over his face now as it appears after his start to the season the valuation is now £80million which if Villa decided to sell they would get easily because of his age and his ability.
So who is out there that could do a job for us as burying our heads in the sand is not going to solve the problem and for me i have to say taking into account our kitty if anything is left and it is coming out of left field here but i would like us to take a chance on a young striker and that is Josh Sargent at Norwich City Underwhelmed sighs i hear but i do think he can do a job for us far better than Antonio can and now that we have Fulkrug injured or not Sargent could learn a lot from him to help his continued development. As a club we have to think more along these lines than getting in an exotic sounding name form abroad and they are not up to standard for the championship let alone the Premier League as we have had to many of those types down the years and more recent times as well and before you have a pop and say Sargent is American i would like to think you know where i am coming from. So who have you been looking at or thinking why not take a chance on this guy or that guy?

Who would you replace Lopy with shoukd things go wrong? I would like to see Potter given a crack. I was leaning towards him before the Lopy appointment. I know he was unsuccessful at Chelsea but so have many before & since.

Is a saying El Loppo likes to use a lot in his press conferences. He uses it when he does not like the question. Or when he does not have an answer to the question. I'm pretty sure he understands the question as he checks with his interpreter next to him when unsure.

Now, first thing to say here is it's a marathon, not a sprint. El Loppo looks a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights at present. As we approach Halloween month, the ghost of the Moyesasaurus must be looming large, in the darkened corner of his office.

I suppose after half a dozen games or so. Can anyone define the Spanish archers tactics? As some have said on here and I concur. There are improvements, but only tiny ones. El Loppo will change something very quickly. He will put subs on at Half Time. Even earlier. But tactically we seem the same. The defence is not stopping the basics. Why, is it the coaching? Is the dialogue getting misinterpreted? There does not seem to be a team cohesion, the plan is not there. The style is not obvious.

We all know about El Loppos appointment. He was the cheap option. Not contracted elsewhere. A lot of focus on Steidman and his movements with recruitment.

I for one wanted a young, forward thinking Manager. Front foot football. A clear modern take on the modern game. Not a household name necessarily. Look at Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard. All have not covered themselves in glory.

But look around. Lesser household names are coming up trumps. McKenna at Ipswich is a revelation. I watched Ipswich yesterday and they scared the hell out of me. Tremendous cohesion, work ethic, fluidity and creativity. Not too mention a couple of players we looked at Jack Clarke being one. Theres Maresca at Chelsea. Poached from Leicester, could we not have done that? Hurzeler has come in at Brighton and done wonders. All young, all destined for greater things. Then there was Amorim, who must surely be the one that got away. He is destined for the big time along with Xabi Alonso.

All I'm saying is. There are younger Managers out there who we could have got. Who have a playing style/identity that is clearly defined.

What is Lopoteugi's style? Does anybody know? Does El Loppo himself know? Does he make it up as he goes along? Yes, he needs time. Yes Stratford was not built in a day! But surely there has to be clearly defined targets. Not conceding goals, being hard to break down. Being clinical in front of goal!

So Jlo made a few strange decisions for many yesterday specially by taking Kudus off at Ht and so the media who love a drama or is that shit stirring and saying players upset with being subbed well boo hoo just because you are a "name" does not and should not give you special treatment and whilst i find the Kudus decision a strange one the fact he was changed for Soler on the left(really) surely it had to be Summerville but hey i'm just a fan and a girl so what do i know!

Pacman for me had his head in the clouds again and though he helped with the goal i was not surprised he came off Bowen was also playing within himself and though it was late on and respect the point and all that it would not of surprised me had he come off earlier i mean i cannot be the only one wondering why he didn't shoot when he had the chance on his favoured left foot but chose to pass very strange that.

Emerson again caught out by a speedster and it is a position we seriously been putting off dealing with but Bissaka seems to slot over there nicely so maybe he will start there in future and Mav at right back is that a possible answer?

So next week Alvarez is back(till the next red)and we are playing Ipswich god help Jlo if he cannot win that game so i am thinking Summerville on the left play Kudus on the right stick Fullkrug if recovered up front with Bowen and lets not be overly defensive and if that means upsetting a few players who think they should play by right then keep on upsetting them i say.

Surely the Stratford Torpedo must be launched on Wednesday night against Liverpool. Mavrapanos must be left out to see this kid line up alongside Kilman. He was the deal of the window, young, played for France already.

Lots of debate on our midfield, and how they set up?

Personally, I find it a bit strange, maybe unusual. We have 3 big, tall somewhat holding midfielders. Namely Alvarez, Rodrigues and Soucek. Not only this, but they seem to be playing together a lot. Last weeks starting line up was a complete shock. With all 3 of them starting. Must admit it blew my mind.

I know Rodrigues was a free. So a no brainer. But do we need him and El Machin in the same line up. Especially with Soucek in the frame?

I'm more of a fan of a compact midfielder who is busy dictating the play. I hope Soler is this type of player. With the others rotating around him.

Yes I appreciate the value of solidity in midfield. But with the creative players we have and Jimmy Summerville's lack of inclusion. I must admit I'm yet to see a clear definition of our style under El Loppo.

Saturday's early kick off, may be a good thing. Or a bad thing, who knows? But the team has to have balance. A thumping will mean the natives including myself, may start to get a bit restless.
