David Moyes takes his battle weary troops across London to Selhurst Park to face a Palace team rejuvenated by the arrival of manager Oliver Glasner who replaced the ageing Roy Hodgon mid season.

Austrian Glasner was most recently in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt before leaving the Bundesliga club last summer so he and Moyes have already clashed in European competition. Their encounter was 'feisty' to say the least, so perhaps there will be a little more passion shown by the dour Scot on the touch line!

Recently every time West Ham have had the chance to 'nail on' a European place for next season via the club's Premier League placement, fate and ineffectuality have conspired to blow the situation, none more so than Sunday's inept showing against London rivals Fulham.

There are those who would argue that the travails of playing Leverkusen on the preceding Thursday evening were just too much for what is a wafer thin squad, in a way they would be correct, but why is the squad so limited?

West Ham: Fabianski, Coufal, Mavropanos, Aguerd, Emerson Palmieri, Ward-Prowse, Alvarez, Kudus, Ings, Lucas Paqueta, Antonio Subs: Johnson, Cresswell, Zouma, Cornet, Ogbonna, Soucek, Earthy, Mubama, Anang

It cannot get much worse if you believe all the doom and gloom emanating from West Ham ahead of Thursday's Europa League 1/4 final against Leverkusen. The most damning is the injury speculation regarding Jarrod Bowen, with the striker apparently ruled out of the game.

There are also doubts about Lucas Paqueta AND others and to top it all off Edson Alvarez is banned for the game, all in a all a potential disaster awaits David Moyes and it is a situation that is very difficult to take ANY positives from.

Once more unto the breach!

Wolves: Sá, Semedo, Doherty, Ait-Nouri, Kilman (C), Toti, S.Bueno, M.Lemina, Gomes, Sarabia, Doyle Subs: Bentley (GK), Dawson, Traoré, Cunha, N.Lemina, H.Bueno, Chirewa, Fraser, Chiwone

There have been some scurrilous rumours appearing regarding 'Stan the Man' Mavropanos seeking a new club.....absolute rubbish! 'Tino' is more than happy in East London and after a rocky start, has firmly established himself in David Moyes' 1st team.

West Ham: Fabinaksi, Coufal, Zouma (C), Mavropanos, Emerson, Ward-Prowse, Soucek, Paqueta, Kudus, Bowen, Antonio Subs: Anang, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Ings, Cornet, Johnson, Phillips, Mubama, Earthy

West Ham United's rented home finally has a new name, and it is going to upset quite a few fans! From the beginning of next season the London Stadium will be known as: The Sun Stadium!

The newspaper had been looking for a 'high profile' venue to attach their name to as they move from paper format to e-media and see the Stratford Stadium as an ideal springboard.

The club has been forced into the move because of current and impending legislation regarding betting sponsorship and are currently negotiating to become Hammers' shirt sponsors as well.
