mine was by phil parkes and it was against our opponents tomorrow Watford....we were a goal down I think wilf rostron(what a great footballer name) had scored it but tony coton let one squeeze through his legs and into the goal right in front of the north bank and then we went 2-1 up but john barnes took the game by the scruff of the neck and we were holding on for dear life when luther blisset hit an absoloute rocket heading for the top left hand corner of the net I turned to my mate on the north bank and said that's in when an arm appeared from nowhere to some how tip the ball over the bar...to this day I cannot believe how he managed to save what looked a nailed goal.....I was lucky enough to see him perform heroics in the 3rd round cup tie at wba when he got 10 out of 10 for a goalkeeping performance I doubt I will ever see bettered but even that could not compare to that save he made against Watford.

To be honest I heard something about this on the radio Thursday night but did not take to much notice and then this morning the papers had headlines screaming about world league and big clubs breaking away yawn....let them do it...like the champions league it will be boring......let chelski/manure/citeh/gooners other so called giants from across Europe leave there leagues......I wont watch it why should I as its only west ham that concerns me and every supporter from every other club in the leagues here and in Europe would probably agree the club you support is whats important in your life and those clubs fans who breakaway will soon get pissed off at not playing there traditional rivals... say Liverpool get called into it and that's the end of the Merseyside derby well the money men may not care because they have Madrid juventus benfica to promote so the fans will have to just get used to it!......football is not and never should be all about money but people who only care about that will soon see that sterile atmosphere in grounds where playing big clubs from across Europe is fun but it cannot and never will beat put one over your local rivals...who cares if you beat Barcelona or whoever you wont be going into work the next morning with the chance to dig out your colleagues over the result or the fear of knowing that you are going to get ribbed about getting beat it will take the fun out of it and these faceless people who are trying to create something just don't get that....I hope this world league does not happen but if it did I for one would be happy that we would not be involved..

I don't like Spurs, and probably have a disproportionate dislike for all things Tottenham, but I would appeal to anyone who knows a Spuds fan or if any read this: Would you please put your ear to the ground and help find this low life!

A 100-year-old woman was mugged outside her home after returning from a prayer meeting.
The centenarian was pushed to the ground by a man who stole her handbag, which contained between £250 and £300.
She had confronted the suspect outside the property in Sherboro Road, Tottenham when he claimed to be there to do electrical work.
Her grandson, who was at her home when the robbery happened on 23 August, chased the man but he escaped.
'Distressed and shaken'
The victim was taken to hospital but did not suffer a serious injury.
Det Ch Insp Luke Marks said the victim was "extremely distressed and shaken". He added: "This was a despicable attack on a very elderly lady who lived independently and is now fearful to return home.
"At 100 years old she had the sense and foresight to dismiss the suspect when he tried to con her into unnecessary electrical work but he then decided to mug her instead."

the squad's had a makeover. with this in mind where is Payet's best position now? is it still wide left behind the front man or more central allowing him to get into the box more? i like the idea of payet, ayew, lanzini and antonio to choose a three from as theres a lot of goals in all of them. ayew and antonio are exceptionally good in the air too. ayew is out obviously for watford but payet and lanzini should be back. so payet, lanzini and antonio behind zaza then? we'll destroy watford.

anyone know if payet is fit for this one? don't know what to make of watford, not much seems to have changed for them apart from the manager who i thought was doing well last season. seemed a strange one to sack him and appoint Baldwin. they held onto deeney and ighalo but apart from that can't see too much to be afraid of, should bag the 3 points if we don't make any mistakes at the back.

don't know about the rest but i really do hope this season we go all out in both domestic cups. we can't use the excuse that our squad is not big enough or that we have too much football (no europa). i do not expect to see the reserve side put out at any point in the cup this season. we can turn the europa loss into something of a positive and channel that energy into the league and fa cups. there are some big sides that will also be eying the domestics like chelsea and man u but its time we took the league cup seriously for once.

How do you guys feel about our signings? 11 in all including Lanzini, which could be one of our most important ones. With what we already had and only losing Valencia and Tomkins from the first team squad, I feel like we have a good sized squad and good competition across the board. There will always be, the "ones that got away" but that is yet to be seen if we missed out or not. So now the nonsense of yellow and black is finished. Are you happy with the 11 players in and the two major ones out? Also what is you're line up now if all are fit?

sorry but if i see antonio playing right back ever again i going to seriously consider having a lie down. i just could not believe it when i saw bilic put him out there as a right wing back this time. whats with this stubbornness? he admitted himself it doesnt work after the chelsea disaster then he goes and tries it again. its almost like, 'I'm right about this and i'll prove it'. i feel most sorry for antonio as he clearly doesnt want to be a right back but he gets on with it. the issue for me is not only does he panic in the box when a player gets away but that he provides so much when he plays in attack. every time he's at right back we've lost a goal threat straight away. defenders can't stop him, his awesome in the air…please Bilic please end this experiment and never go back to it. why we didnt just buy a seasoned right back with the money we spent on tore i don't know. no disrespect to him but antonio is better than him.
