So on Saturday we will be missing noble and byram, but it sounds like we will have winston and cresswell available. So what do we do in defence? The most obvious problem is we don't have a natural right back, so what do people suggest we do? Do we play 3 with wing backs? Do we play a right back who naturally isn't one ala kouyate or nortveldt or even winston, or play a left back on the right cresswell or masaku? Is it fair to play masaku on the right as he is just starting to settle into a bit of form? And who plays in the centre? Is winston fit enough to start and play most of the game at least?

What are your thoughts on the building of the London stadium? Has atmosphere been lost? Was it the right move? Or should Upton Park have been expanded?

This is for my dissertation at university and looks at whether it is more beneficial for football clubs to expand and redevelop their current stadiums such as Liverpool and Man United have done. Move to a new stadium like West Ham. Or construct a new stadium such as Arsenal, and soon to be Chelsea and Tottenham.

I fear the next four games just how many points can we get? And how will the bilic faithful explain things if we get humiliated by spuds?

Just going through our team and looking at the players I have come up with a few that should definitely be off the books. For me there are a few that we need to keep and bring in better quality to build a good team around.
Goal keepers, the rumour is that Adrian is on his way out so that leaves Randolph and Speigal. I don't know what Speigal is like but we need a keeper as Randolph has proved he is only a bench player.
Defenders, Arbeloa is shit, Byram is just ok and the jury is still out on Fonte. Cresswell has had his problems this season and I am wondering if being picked for England and the rumours that pool where interested have turned his head but Masuaka has not been to bad so far. As for the rest keepers and give Collins another year, good bench player.
Midfield, gone are Nordviet and Tore and I know this is hard but Noble on the bench, great club man and plenty of passion but slowing down and prone to yellow cards. Snodgrass with the right midfielders around him will come good and shit we miss Obiang, and Fegouli is a bench player, when he comes on he grafts unlike a few that I have mentioned.
Strikers, I don't care what Bilic says I don't think Calleri is good enough and I think Sakho will be gone, as for Andy, on his day he is unplayable but keeping him on the field is the problem. If the Chinese come in with a big offer I would take it and bring in a couple of strikers that could stay injury free for at least a season. We have some good young players coming through but as I said on another post why lend them out to sit on someone else's bench when we can put them on ours and give them playing time to build up their confidence and enthusiasm when needed.
So for me we need a bloody good shot stopper, at least one or two right side defenders, another decent midfielder and at least two strikers in the summer. Let's hope the Davids have the balls to go get them and not loans but buy a bit of qualit. Those are just my views so be interested what your views are gents.

I take no pleasure from seeing the current plight of Leyton Orient indeed quite the opposite. My father was brought up in Leyton and though he was a Hammer through and through used to watch them on occasions (generally when West Ham were away) . Our old nemesis Barry Hearn bought the "O's" for £5 from Tom Wood in 1995 and indeed a documentary called "Orient, Club For a Fiver" was made shortly after.
A club that has gone through many name changes (and in the last 2 years many managers) since it's formation in 1881. Since Hearn took over the corners of The Matchroom Stadium were punted and now sit flats duly named after former O's favourites such as Barry Kitchen etc. Hearn sold the club to Francesco Becchetti an Italian business man just after the club failed to win the League 2 play off final in 2013/14! It has all gone down hill since then and a club that still has aspirations of moving to the (15,000 capacity) Riverbank Arena from the current 9,271 capacity ground on Brisbane Road but thus far has failed to materialise.
Hearn did his level best to prevent West Hams move the London Stadium, although he helped thwart our purchase he could not prevent The Hammers moving albeit in rented form. After he passed Orient on crowds increased yet the clubs debts have exceeded it's assets. I have been to Brisbane Road many a time in the past and most memorably when we drew 1-1 in the FA Cup 3rd Rd back in January 1987 along with around 18,000 others! Many on social media slate our owners for a lack of investment in playing staff and some even go as far as to state that they are in it for the money! But a little thought keeps popping into my mind ... had Messrs Sullivan and Gold not rescued our beloved club we ourselves could be in a similar plight!
We have bought and sold players from the "O's" some went to Leyton on free transfers the last of which was Kevin Nolan. In the end though Orient fast heading toward the Conference are heading there due to one man and that is the very man who tried in vain to blacken our good name.... Barry Hearn.
To the detractors who criticise our owners think before speak...please.

There's been a lot of debate about playing the youth, for almost as long as I can remember. Most of the time I think: if they are not good enough, don't play 'em. But I wonder why has West Ham invested so much effort in youth signings the last couple of years: Fernandes, Fletcher, Oxford, Burke, & Co. -- these were all players that were hyped at the time of signing, leading fans to expect that they were sure to become part of the first team sooner or later (and in most cases sooner). So what's the deal with that? Is it just hype? I don't understand why the club makes the effort if these players aren't ever going to get a chance in the first team.

Crikey, according to the pundits and the bookies West Ham United might as well not turn up at the London Stadium to face 'high flying' premier league leaders Chelsea. Those old stalwarts at the BBC have most definitely written off Slaven Billic's chances of obtaining a second victory this season over Antonio Conte's side, an achievement no other side has managed! There are those who say West Ham United's victory over Chelsea in the EFL cup was against a 'weakened' side, however those people seem to forget that it was close to a 'full' strength side by the end of the match with Conte having to throw on his 'big guns' like Diego Costa in order to try and get a result. betfair mobile seem to be the only organisation that gives West Ham any hope of even getting a draw let alone a victory, of course Hammers will be missing player of the season Mikael Antonio for the match as he serves his one match suspension for picking up two yellow cards against Watford at vicarage road during the last fixture before the 'Dubai' bonding break. Chelsea have benefited greatly by West Ham's re-invention of Victor Moses, who had led a 'loaned existence' from his parent club and been all over the place, that all changed when he was given the chance to shine by Slaven Billic, Moses will probably return the favour by scoring against the team that helped him find his feet, that is the way of the footballing world!
Finally, if you are a season ticket holder, please go to the match! If you sell your ticket via ticket exchange you will get bugger all for your ticket, so why not be part of the crowd? The atmosphere at the last fixture was buzzing despite the odd bit of minor aggro, and with better security in place there really is no need not to attend. The London Stadium is finally becoming more like home, and there isn't much better than a derby match under the lights against top opposition, these nights are special, if the result is positive you can say you were there, just like those who went to the EPL fixture without expectation but full of hope, some call it blind faith, we prefer to call it the West Ham way! - Ed

Picture the scene Olympic stadium half time Against Chelski flashing blue lights old bill rushing on the pitch. Mr Snodgrass we arresting you for not appearing in court in Glasgow charged with drving a car while a baby waswas being held by an adult. Now I know that rules are rules but they have issued a warrant for his arrest. I will be one of the first to admit that I did this, but as my kids are in there late 30's it was not even against the Law Surely this magistrate has gone over the top,what is the advantage of Snodgrass being in court.
