listening to media god guardiola moaning about 'killing players' due to xmas schedule makes him look pathetic. he knew what the prem league was before he came, so why does he think it should change to suit him? hes got a massive squad too so he has no argument. he and of course wenger just want a spanish style siesta over xmas. its tradition and as shearer says, players are paid their huge pay packets by tv to play for fans over xmas, so quit moaning or go back to spain. and all this city lovin, throwing the words like genuis, unbeatable, greatest. First Harry arter, then Steven nzonzi, then some scot we never heard of and now John Jo shelvey. Can shelvey really offer what we need? Looks like the board could have learnt nothing. Firstly he is hardly the next level, infact I'd say more likely the old level. A little bit better than snodgrass but that's all. He doesn't always nail down a place at Newcastle and not renown for a good engine or putting his foot in a tackle. At best I'd say he would be cover for lanzini. So why buy now! Look Sullivan buy what we NEED most urgently not what's cheap.we need an arter or even better a joe Allen. Someone who is resilient, these players generally are easier and cheaper to find. (Although not as cheap as 12 mill quoted for shelvey) if we can't find or afford at least one of those type of midfielders we deserve to go down. So is Sullivan about to make another January mistake?

Personally I don't think our squad is as bad as people say. Having said that there IS a lot I'd get rid of in January if we had a magic wand. Some players don't fit in what we are trying to do but are very good players, some have bad attitudes, some are injury prone and the rest are bad. For me it reflects the mis management of the club from bilic and the board. There was no clear direction so instead of getting a certain type of forward (for example) we just got one with a bit of a name but doesn't fit in. So for me I'd get rid of, 1 hart wtf was his signing all about? Publicity? 2 fonte far too old and no future. 3 snodgrass doesn't offer us anything we don't have from players we already have. 4. Ayew doesn't offer enough in a game and I can't really see a defined position he would be good in. 5 kouyate, reminds me of someone who thinks he has a lot more skills than he actually does, often a liability in midfield. 6 Hernandez, just won't fit with what Moyes is trying to do, so will be a waste unless he changes the way he is playing which he won't. 7 Carroll bad attitude, shirker, injury prone and just drags our style down when he plays. 8 sakho- just burnt too many bridges. IMO if we lost all those tomorrow they won't make hardly any difference other than a lack of numbers.

Before I start this is NOT intended to be a political thread in any way. I'm a bit of a traditionalist, and can't help rejoice in the fact we are getting back the blue passport. I'm sure you can remember those days. Dark blue passport stiff as a British upper lip and able to swat away any Johnny Foreigner wishing to over step the mark by questioning the creditials of a British citizens. The not so old red one was a bit apologetic of a passport. It's flimsy, no backbone. The old British passport would servive an air crash better than the planes black box flight recorder. Red? I mean red? How on earth can we immediately be recognised as British without it? (Turns off God save the queen) anything else you wish they would bring back that screams we are British.

After the fall out of yesterday's victory it's hard not to get carried away, so I'm trying not to be. For me I didn't get to see it but followed it on radio five, I must say it gave me a real blast from the past. For the first 20 mins I was driving but stayed glued to the radio parked in a car park for another hour and a half! It was that enthralling. I must say Moyes is starting to impress me. He has only been here a few games but has already identified what bilic didn't in 2 years. He has got us fitter, we look better organised and it's great to see their is actually a game plan that includes some well thought out substitutions. Ok we all said we needed that. What he has also done is made some big decisions that might become a bit inspired. Firstly it took Hardly any time for him to decide he wanted masaku AND cresswell playing down the left. (Some on here suggested it) he for the moment anyway has decided to play cresswell at left centre back in a 3! That came a bit left field for me! He has also preferred big mick up top ATM maybe for his strength and ability to relieve pressure by gaining ground. (Maybe we need that style of forward and maybe he will stick with mick at least to the end of the season).And finally he was happy to make the big call of dropping hart. He also didn't automatically didn't play Carroll. He has now set a standard to his players it's his way! Stick to your guns David if we can get 3 points above relegation we will go from strength to strength.

Well there you have it, Sullivan has stated he hasn't done well enough at West Ham after an interview with a guardian journalist. No sh1t Sherlock!
