Haller Going??

Submitted by cast iron on

Never thought this guy was a £45 million player be glad to see him go to Monaco even if we let him go for 40 mill we can't afford to keep him and if he goes, it will solve an awful lot of transfer problems and free up some money for 3 new players in positions we need to strengthen. Haller never seemed to be a very loyal player anyway always let you down when he was most needed for a crucial match and if you remember he was banging in goals for fun against Palace and QPR, soon as it got to the nitty gritty against Wolves and Spurs he goes missing, would'nt fancy him in another relegation scrap, please God it dont happen but I would'nt put my house on it. Let Kovac have him and lets get Esse and a decent Left-back and full back

Scotty Parker

It was good to see Scotty bring Fulham back up to the Prem how long for I don't know and at that point, he could end up getting sacked -this is the way that it is for football managers today and after seeing what happened to Pearson at Watford absolutely anything could happen in this time when the life of a premiership manager is very unstable every team wants success and they said last night the EFL playoffs were worth £168 million pounds. so its all big bucks and I thought Parker was absolutely spot on with his tactics even Fulhams 1st goal. He has done his prem apprenticeship and the badges and in a couple of years down the line it would not surprise me to see him as West Hams manager- don't get me wrong I think Moyes is doing ok at the moment, but let's see if he lasts to the end of the new season. Parker was always one of my favourites as a player he showed guts and determination, and a great leader another premiership manager who came from our team that has had a great season, you know who the other one is but we won't go into that.

I think for a few seasons now our problem has been we have no shape or identity. the changing of managers and players has left us always looking like a bunch of 'thrown together' players every game. looking even at the likes of Brentford, Leeds, wolves, burnley, Sheffield u its clear to see what their 'style' is and how they are going to go about playing. the players know the system, theres no major changes from game to game just a tweak.

its high time we sorted this out with our club. I started to see a settled system towards the end of last season with Antonio up, Bowen and Fornals wide and then the three across the middle. it gives consistency and you can then look to buy players to improve in certain areas. I honestly think Pelle had no idea what he wanted to play or who to play it. he just sent his chum out and said spend money on some attacking players, then threw them together.

I think this is a hallmark of clubs with managers who change a lot. Moyes may not be all of our favourite but lets try and give him time, not a few months but seasons to implement a system and stick with it.

Ngakia dont get it

Don't get it with this lad he would have had premiership football still young, and had he been more patient and better advised the world would have been his oyster in a couple of years time now he will end up like Quina, Ravel Morrison, And Oxford. Hope I'm wrong and always like to see Academy players come through the ranks but he seems to have blown it to me

Who will be the third team to come up

Submitted by alby foreverirons on

Just watching the game between Cardiff and Fulham and got me wondering, which team would you like to see come up. For me I would like to see Fulham come up, always had a bit of a soft spot for them and with Scott Parker as manager it would be great to see the reaction of fans when we play them at home. Brent Ford is also a chance but we are interested in a couple of their players and if they came up that would stop that. Thoughts please.

Buy from the championship, end up in the championship

I know the saying. however, look at Antonio and Bowen. What you seem to get from a good young player in lower league is a desire to run all day and work hard. A certain appreciation of them being given a 'step up'. I accept some of them, most of them probably aren't all that good. my point here though is that with good scouting, there are good players to be found that dont cost the ridiculous amounts of an Anderson or Yarmalenko. Should we be looking to clubs like Brentford, Notts Forest, Derby etc, those that wont (I dont think Brentford will but right now you couldn't say) go up this season for two or three more 'Bowens'?

Brentford in particular have some really interesting young attacking players. Should we pass up on another summer recruitment ala Pellegrini and look for more solid, working players from the championship to complement what we have?

Sky Sports

My TV package is via Virgin media which includes Sky Sports and BT Sports.
BT Sports games are in HD (free) but my Sky Sports is `normal` quality.
Has anyone else noticed the pic quality difference between Sky and any other channels showing matches?.
I`m pretty sure that they turn the quality down to encourage customers to pay even more by having to get their HD package. Several times I have watched a game on another non HD channel then switched over to SS1, the difference in pic quality is always more than noticable.

A great point and now we can relax

Looks like finally manager and players are in unison and have been excellently so since the Covid return.
So do West ham play better without fans? or has Moyes found the right players to do the job?, yea obviously it is the latter he has kept out the lazy arrogant big star no shows which is good. Soucek and Bowen have been brilliant Antonio and Ogbona too.
Happy hammer tonight as I am sure are you, let us enjoy Sunday with a beer or three maybe something stronger?, Happy hammer but it's sad that we are constantly in a loop of relegation.
