Rice - Captain

Submitted by Hammers65 on

10 games last season,3 this season & 1 thing weve learned is that Rice is not captain material. His form has really dipped as well, personally I'd take the ridiculous money touted around for him & get some proper midfield replacements! His body language screams out he doesn't want to be here, dawson when fit would be my captain,a bit of grit needed

Marketing and that horrid third strip

Submitted by hammergirl on

Orange you have all seen it our third strip is white with an Orange flare across the shirt apparently the reason for that is to pay homage to the Thames Ironworks and the orange sparks that were created during there arduous work.
Marketing people have to make stuff up like that to try and sell a pig of an item.ORANGE really Orange i know i am younger than a lot on here but can anyone tell me when did We ever have a shirt that was Orange home or away? When i purchase something West Ham related to wear it is with the traditional colours and no Burkie i am not answering the thought that just came to your mind there lol.Seriously though unless the club is now being sponsored by Terrys where the hell do we get that colour from.

Forest score predictions

Submitted by Chippy Dave on

Tough game tomorrow against a newly promoted Forest side, their first game at home too.
What’s your score prediction for the game? I’ve gone for a West Ham 2-1 win on my super 6 this week but wouldn’t be surprised at a reversal of that score, of course you can guarantee that Lingard will score at some point!!
Bowen and Soucek to get the West Ham goals.

Linguard Really strung us along

Don't think Lingard will be playing for Forest too long think all the players will do their best to take him out - Fu*ked us about and Everton Spuds Etc think he must have a death wish cant see him be fit enough to play for England upset a lot premier league clubs gonna earn his £200,000 a week greedy B*ST£rD. Lets see how he gets on and see if its funny how he mugged every body off

Be wary of greeks baring gifts

Normally i do not worry to much about who the club sign because as a supporter i cheer the players on the pitch in the Claret&Blue Shirt as i want us to win and they are our men.

The latest on a certain Mr Lingard is he will sign for us if we match the alleged offer of Notts Forest for me and i expect many that is a red flag and our club needs to stand firm wish the player well and move on because he is clearly motivated by money more than playing which is sad as he is already a very rich young man.If this proves to be some kind of bluff to try and get more money and it does not work and the player then decides well alright i will sign for you this has to be met with a short sharp know you had your chance we have other irons in the fire purely because if you buckle to one mans demands how long before players already here are knocking on the door asking for more?

Do not try to be like the super clubs and keep up with the Joneses we never could in the past.A well run club can mix it with those others Leicester did we have look at Brighton and where they finished let the super rich have the playboy superstars because for every Ronaldo there is a Pogba/Fernandes/Aubamayang/Lukaku.

So lets be true to our roots yes if we can pluck a gem because the bigboys think the players rubbish all well and good but let us be realistic in our targets and with our budget as we nearly lost our club a few years back and that is more important to me than paying any one player over the odds.

Should the Alarm bells be ringing?

Submitted by Enfieldhammer on

Yes, it was only friendly. Yes, there are still 2 weeks to the season starts. But with lack of new arrivals to our wafer thin squad and the performance against Rangers & generally lack of goals (still). Should we be thinking about hitting the panic button?
It was common knowledge we needed around 10 new additions this summer way back in January. We need help all over the park. We need to pull the trigger & bite the bullet to get some of these deals over the line. Regarding Lingard. As much as I want him to sign, he needs to be told to sign now or forget us. He is way short of being match fit and would not be ready for the start of the season. As for a striker. Don't let Chelsea mess around with Broja. Move on & quickly. Apparently a bid has been accepted for Scammacca (spelling). Push it through. Or is Moyes the problem? I read he wants Broja & Newman identitified Scammacca. Because Antonio is not the answer. He is unreliable with fitness and not prolific enough. Too cold than hot. Creswell at Left Back. Thank you for your service but you can't cut it anymore.
Everyone knows what was needed. We need now to get the players settled and ready. Every other club seem to be filling their boots. Our nearest competition Arsenal, Tottenham & Man Utd have gone about their business and got things done. Tottenham have done exceedingly well. We had the chance in January and the club failed to take the opportunity to push on & ultimately costing us a Europa League Trophy & qualification for the same tournament again. We are in a position to threaten the top 6. FFS get deals done as we are teetering on the slippery slope.

Your Nuts

Haller been sent to hospital he has a Tumour on his testicles i hope you boys check yourselves regular,As a woman i check my boobies on regular basis better to be safe than sorry so please make sure you keep yourselves healthy i know supporting West Ham will more than likely give us all heart failure but something that takes five minutes can add years on your clock.
I hope Haller comes through this and it brings back memories of poor Dylan Tombides may he R.I.P.

Looking at the bids that we have reportedly made

Submitted by alby foreverirons on

It shows intent for the first time in a very long time. We have signed Areola, Agherd and Downes, put in bids for Scamacca, Broja and Orana and are still looking at Sarr, Raum and a couple of others so for me it’s looking good. Just wondering what others think and who would be your first team for the game against Man City. I know that some may need a bit of time to bed in but my team will be,
Areola
Coufal Zouma. Ogbonna. Cresswell/Raum

Soucek. Orana. Rice

Bowan. Scamacca. Antonio
Think if we could have that lineup we are in with a shout against most teams but if not working then we should have a couple of game changers like Sarr, Lanzini, Benrahma, Broja and Fornals on the bench.
