Why is this allowed?

Submitted by cast iron on

Why is it allowed, to Buy Players like Kai Havertx and Timber when they are still keeping us waiting for our transfer fee of £105 million they are not messing with Chelsea or Ajax about, how come they can use this stalling tactic on us that could result in us missing out on Harvey Barnes, Alex Scott Etc. Think the FA should make clubs Finish their negotiations before they can bid for another player. Even supposed to have bid for Mbappe and Laporte this morning How about usig that money to pay us???, definitely think this is an unfair stalling tactic and should not be allowed by the F.A and to be honest I am surprised Sullivan has stood for this. We,ve all heard that this is all about FFP but how long are we Going to stand for this, if they want Rice then this should be settled, or pull the plug on the whole deal because i think they will mess us about as long as they can get away with it. and then WE will have 30 million in our hand and all the transfer targets gone

Stating the obvious i know

But players come players go some good some bad some more susceptible to Romford Radiation than others but all that does not mean a thing because our club and all other football clubs are nothing without there fans as we are the only people who stay with your club through thick and thin from bad managers & owners to good all that matters are the fans football is nothing without us the billions generated would never be that without the fans so in all honesty with Rice going it means nothing as i like all of us will still be there next season cheering us on i certainly will not be watching the gooners to see how Rice gets on because they are not my club and Rice has decided we are not his club anymore i only have eyes for those that pull on the claret&blue(some more than others maybe lol)and set foot onto the pitch to get us dreaming again COYI

Rice: He's Gone, Get over it.

I thought it would be appropriate to start a post where we can vent or express our feelings in one place and then move on, subject closed.
Me, personally, I am massively disappointed in him. This was a scruffy little Chelsea reject we took on who eventually somehow made it into the first team at centre back and lets be honest now, he was a crap centre back. Whether by luck or good judgement he was moved forward in a defensive midfielder, a role he blossomed and excelled at, becoming a fans favourite, club captain, first name on the team sheet, an England International and finally the first captain to lift a European trophy since the great Bobby Moore. All of this, thanks to West Ham. For the European win he will of course go down in folklore. But he won't be a legend.
I don't think Arsenal will give him the trophies he claims to desire, I think he's always looked at us as a stepping stone despite all the badge thumping. I hope it all goes wrong for him at Arsenal, wins f**k all, their fans turn on him and he ends up looking a mug. H'es not one of us anymore, thanks for the memories but don't expect a welcome back from me in the future

Just wondering who we should sell and who to keep

Submitted by alby foreverirons on

For me there are some players that need to be sold to build up the kitty so I will just put it out there.
Johnson, I think he needs a change to a club that will play him at his best position.
Soucek, he was really good until Moyes started changing him to allow Rice to get forward more.
Coventry, used as a loan player and will never make it to the first team so I would try to use him in a deal with Bristol to get Scott.
Ings, was a stupid mistake buying him as he is never going to fit into a Moyes system and totally overpaid, get him off the wage bill.
Antonio, this one might piss some people off but even though his holdup play is good and he makes defenders work to cover him he has been falling over trying to get penalties a lot and has lost his goal scoring, been a passenger for the last eighteen months plus not getting any younger.
We should be able to get £30_£40 million for those players which would pay for at least one or two decent replacements but would like to know what everyone’s views are.

Arsenal are taking the proverbial

Submitted by alby foreverirons on

I for one am sick of the crap coming out of Arsenal, fans saying Decs is not worth the money, them thinking that they are the future winners of everything Football. It’s years since they have won anything and this year they finally had the chance and what happened, they bottled it. For me the result when they were two up and Sala missed the penalty, then us coming back to draw was really when the crap hit the wall for them. Now they are lowballing us on the sale of our super star Declan Rice as if we should bow to their demands and sell him to them. The two bids are an insult and as far as I am concerned they can do one, the problem is Sullivan’s big mouth on Talkshite. He went on their talking up the fact that Decs was offered a big £200 thousand a week offer but knocked it back, what he didn’t say that the contract was for eight years, no one wants to be tied down to a contract for that long when they know that in two or three years they could go to Real Madrid, Man City or a champions league team and earn double that.
What has torpedoed Sullivans plan of starting a bidding war has been Decs and his agent saying he only wants to go to Arsenal which has probably turned off a lot of clubs, look at Bayern Munich. Now Arsenal know they have the edge on everyone so they believe they can get him for a lot less than what we value Decs at so they keep putting in insulting offers. For me we should activate his extension clause because when as Sullivan said about the agreement that he could leave it would have to be if our value was met, if Arsenal don’t value Decs at that price then he stays as far as West Ham should be concerned.

one result away from certain safety

Submitted by mcbikeman on

I know we are probably safe already but this is West Ham the team that got relegated with record points dont forget.....so i am hoping Moyes will not be overly daft and plaay a ffull strength team today with thursday in mind he'd be mad wouldn't he?....no i say play a weakend side and allow the bindippers to do us a favour and beat the foxes tomorrow evening and thats us safe and sound because Leeds G/D is so bad that cripples them so come on Moyes do not overthink it and risk injuries lets see what some of the "fringe players can do eh.

Next season

Submitted by alby foreverirons on

I would definitely be looking at some of our youth, Mumbama for me should have been used a lot more plus it would have saved the club £15 million and £125 a week on Ings. What encouragement is it for a young lad that has scored 26 goals in 26 games in the youth team when Moyes preferred to bring in an injury prone 30 year old striker that can’t play on his own up front. If and I hope I’m wrong Moyes is still here next season I can’t see the board giving him much money as he proved to me on Saturday that even though he spent over £150 million he wasted a lot of money because he has no idea how to get the best out of them. To spend that much and not use them is ridiculous, we have a few players that’s contracts are up at the end of the season and a few new signings that will want out and I include Rice, Bowan and Benrahma in those the will go especially if the dinosaur is still here. Next season no matter which manager is here it will be a complete rebuild so it is not going to be pretty. Be interested on the views but for me he has to go.
