Great goal for W B A by you know who
By time you read this i will be back in hospital due to my breathing becoming more and more laboured....Most of you will not get this bloody virus but if you are worried get tested take precautions and wear a mask if you are going to be in any kind of crowd....be back soon i hope.
Rarely do I post in the Forum space which is an area I see as mainly for members to have a voice, but I am compelled to point out the fact that the powers that be have decided in their infinite wisdom to close Vauxhall Bridge for TWO MONTHS! Residents near Battersea Bridge the next thames crossing along the river were NOT informed in any way shape or form about the planned works which have meant absolute grid lock until around 9 Pm every evening. There are signs near Hyde Park corner and obviously around the Vauxhall area, but apart from those there are none in the area that has been most affected by the 'planned works'. Why the fuck didn't they do them during lock down? It beggars belief, perhaps they are auditioning to become part of West Ham's future planning department for the club, they would fit in really well!
It's non football related, but it is, my old music industry pal Graham Fletcher, who was a Spurs supporter, passed away in his sleep at the age of 67 years. He was a larger than life character who you would run through walls for, I first met him over 40 years ago when he was head of EMI publishing where he signed Queen and a whole bunch of other stars, and his opening words to me were," My dear Boy, looking the way you do, you don't need my help!". We didn't really see too much of each other after that, I signed to a different publisher, as is the way of the music industry, and that was that, but ironically his son and mine both ended up at the same primary school, after not seeing Graham for over 30 years by that time , it really was quite synchronistic. I am sad that we didn't manage to meet up for the drink we were going to have that we couldn't do because of Shit-19..but
Any way, Graham Fletcher 1953-2020 R.I.P. Big man, I'll see you on the other side X
My Dear Old Mum Joyce Ann Beryl Nixon died the other day at the age of 87, she had a good innings and is now in a better place, she was blown out of London , literally, during the Blitz. She was an absolutely ardent, some might say possessed Hammers fan her whole life, who regularly spoke with David Gold because they went to the same school, and although in her latter years she would make an awful lot of phone calls, day and night regardless, she always knew no matter what NOT to call for at least 12 hours if the Irons had just got beaten. God bless her, she was a trouper and a warrior, a tour de force...I had better warn my Dad to turn down his hearing aid! J.A.B Nixon 1933-20120 RIP x
Fave theme tunes of the above,I'll kick it off with Rocky,The Godfather,The Deer hunter,Jaws....I know they're old ones but so am I!!;)
So from any era,I'm sure you can all do better?
Stay safe fellow orgers

With all the doom and gloom allied to massive fears about income and health, do yourself a favour and dig out Stella Street to watch. If you are old enough you will remember it well, if you are too young, feast your eyes! They filmed the entire show in Shepherds Bush, right opposite my friend's parents house, I am pleased to say the show is even funnier now, happy viewing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3r-bYi36OQo&list=PLBj-d69ga0vapRMcyjdEM…. -Ed
Off topic I know, but my dear old Mum is in the critical ward at Stoke Mandeville in Aylesbury and they have just stopped visitors from entering the building, i would advise anyone with relatives in hospital to either get them out or at least visit them while they can, I managed to do so early this week and am glad I managed to get a visit in while it was still allowed.
