What was that signing all about? January is the window to sign people who will make an impact immediately, but we haven't seen hide nor hair of Hugill. I actually feel sorry for the lad. He was playing regular football, and now he will fade into anonymity. Doesn't make one bit of sense. Pretty bad business for £10M, too. I've always said SUGO were penny wise and pound poor. Take the game from last night we were playing stoke at home and we play one man upfront and hit the long ball....the players were standing off letting stoke have the ball and when we had it they were in our faces immediately...we were slow and very poor with the ball...stoke if they had taken more of the chances that they had would of gone in two up but thankfully they were woeful in front of goal....now given how poor the first half was you would of expected a different approach in the second half but nope more of the same and I just kept wondering to myself what the hells your game plan moyes? fernandes/Mario did not have a clue as to what they were meant to be doing and most of the time the ball just was not getting to them because we were constantly hitting a long ball to arnie which was never working as even when he got the ball the support was so slow to arrive it was unreal....still 75mins on moyes decides mmm maybe 2 upfront may be whats needed and took off the dreadful Fernandez 75mins to late!..i was not surprised when stoke took the lead as they had shown they were more than capable of doing just that throughout the game and Hart showed yet again why you cannot afford to have him in your goal on a regular basis for all he did at chelski last week he undid all that with yet another basic error....panic button press errr lets chuck sicknote on and hope he can last the 5/6 mins to play..he scored a great goal and stoke were rocking suddenly moyes eyes saw what we all new we were playing a shit team with a poor away record and goals against record but to little to late...one up front mr moyes at home and sitting back hitting a long ball to that lone striker mmmm that's why you are Marmite mate.....for all the plaudits against chelski you deserve the criticism for that display last night

season is coming to an end. All being well, we will survive. I think the point at Chelsea and Moyes' know how will see us stay up this season. But its not been good, not at all. I do believe Bilic would have gotten us relegated for sure, so the change was a good decision by the board but apart from that there's little else to thank them for. So come the summer, it will be a defining moment. If Moyes stays or goes, whoever is manager…..they will need backing in the transfer market. If they terminate Moyes, Id be very wary that they plan to bring in a yes man who they can continue to tell what to do and still control the buying of players. If Moyes stays, he will want players and money will need to be spent. Mario is an interesting one in this. The board's intent will be clear by the decision to buy Mario or to pass. The loan deal as i understand it gives us first refusal providing we stump up the fee. Now, if he had failed, no one would blink an eye when they don't sign him, however he's been excellent, he's oozed quality and his work rate can't be faulted either. he's exactly the sort of player needed to 'move the club' forward, in short he is quality. So I'm watching this space on Mario because i suspect it will tell us a lot about the boards intentions.

Rumour abounds that he will be at the stoke game Monday night as rumour has it that there may well be a sighting of that rare player gigantus titus or andus carrolus to we laymen...not often seen in its native surroundings and many thought it was extinct but after a sighting in Miami it is thought this brittle boned rarity has decided to settle in east London for the summer....hoping to catch an even rarer event of it actually being in its natural grassy habitat but most think it will be the wooded area of the bench it needs in order to stay safe.

Can Chelsea lose 2 in a row at home? They must be deflated after seeing their CL hopes go up in smoke on Easter Sunday. Not much for them to play for now, although Arsenal are not too far behind them. We, on the other hand, could have Lanzini back and with Super Mario and Arnautovic we could be dangerous on the counterattack. Can we do the double over the flappers of the blue flag? Or ... do you predict a reaction from Chelsea? Then we also have Arsenal away. They've been playing well again recently, but we held them 0-0 at home. Man City or Manure at home? -- well, no matter how claret and blue your glasses are you shouldn't put much stock in even a draw there. For myself, I'd love to see us nick a point from either Chelsea or Arsenal, but that's only 1 point in four big matches.

That leaves Stoke (H), Leicester (A), and Everton (H) for us to pick up points, which we still desperately need. None of these are "in the bag", but Stoke is the most likely chance of victory. They have to play Spurs next (albeit at home) in a must win encounter. But Spurs are still pushing for 3rd, with perhaps "in your dreams" visions of 2nd -- they won't easily drop points even at the Potteries. So when we face Stoke at home, they will be most likely just about over the edge. Three points there, I hope.

Leicester away: much as I'd love to address last season's NYE despair, I think a point would be a good result. And that leaves Everton at home. Much as you might dislike Allardici, he can organise a team, and the Toffies have some talent in their side. But I think we will need the points to make sure of our fate (they won't). Edgy encounter, but the Irons will take it.

So I see 7-8 points in the run in. Not much, but it would see us safe. Four points could be enough, but I wouldn't want to risk it!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse disturbing news is emerging that David Moyes is going to select Joe Hart in goal for the Southampton match, this has not gone down well at the Org, Ed Junior has suddenly' pulled his hammy' and doesn't want to walk the hundred miles from Hackney Wick to the 'conveniently' located 'ironic' stadium. Little Ed was far more honest and just said there is no way he will go if Hart is in goal. I wonder what other Hammers' supporters will be feeling?
