The one I am looking forward to is West Ham v Sheffield United. After our last meeting in the cup, which the bickering Blades dumped us out of with a smug and deluded sense of 'justice', (even after the award of £30mil at their perceived slight during Tevez-gate) and having started the season on the newly promoted bounce of good form, there can be no excuse or result from our side this season against them apart from a win. We need to turn them over and give them a thorough drubbing if we are to retain any shred of dignity and prove to them the real reason why we stayed up and they went down

When reading that El Pel is unsure what system to play with the squad we have i think we need to start worrying and questioning him a bit harder than we do...Having got the players he wanted he now seems unsure as to how to integrate them into the team and how he wants the team to play.Brighton yesterday a prime example one up front getting battered and overrun we just about managed to get away with a draw...then he admitted we played better when Antonio came on and we had two upfront...well no shit sherlock Chicarito is not the player to dominate defenders he's a fox in the box and being alone upfront was a mistake before the kickoff i do not think any west ham fan could believe the selection El Pel made and if he picks a side like that again next week we will not get away with it again....being paid ten million a season means he is regarded as a top top manager well time to prove yourself El Pel you have the squad you wanted with two players for each position giving you the options you asked for now its time to work out the system that you should have had formulated before the season kicked off.

Well Newport away in the cup it is,banana skin in the making or will we give it our best shot?they have a great pedigree of late in the cups so we need to be top of our game,likely to be on the telly also...mmm

We played citeh we lost go figure 20 mins we looked ok but Anderson again just walking around how he was not taken off at HT i do not no and bringing on Forcandles for Antonio was strange indeed...i do not believe the side had the belief they could get anything out of the match so instead of having ago we just sat and watched citeh in 3rd gear play around us...mahrez all left foot how many times was he allowed to cut in onto it? to many is the answer diop looked lazy cressy ball watching for the first and ripped for pace....DEFENSIVELY not good enough citeh or not some of it was really really poor the basics were just not there...Of course we will not play teams like this week in week out but we made it to easy for citeh to easy indeed a lot of work needs to be done especially at the back which i mentioned all summer needed reinforcements....losing is no shame but losing at home 0-5 is a DISGRACE an utter DISGRACE.....Rock bottom of the league adrift on goal difference already only way is up i spose:-(

Thought about going to watch the Ladies play and taking my Grandsons as I get a discount being a season ticket holder with West ham. I watched young Jack Sullivan on TV a few days ago as Footballs youngest Manager and maybe its just me or I come from an older generation but Matt Beards language was appalling in the 20 second clip they showed as he spoke to the ladies at half time. Basically saying "Look out they will effing come at you in the effing second half so effing stay wake and effing win it." or words to that effect. I know he had a good record with Millwall, Chelsea and Liverpool ladies in the past but does he have to swear like that all the time (as he does from the touchline as well!!!) I thought West Ham had a low tolerance to bad language?

Optimistic?

I’m feeling and hearing in the media, and on fan sites much more optimism than I have ever heard in previous run ins to a new season, that said, a drubbing from one of the greatest sides on the planet on Saturday and 14.30 I could have more pessimistic complexion.

I’ve followed West Ham all my days, 22K of them as I had no choice, born a hammer, and because of that I never get carried away but… this season does feel a little bit different and can we dare to dream?

I have simple dreams, 7th, turnover Spudz or Chavski at home and a good cup run and Im a happy Bhoy!

Noble out for the citeh game(dead leg apparently)...not being harsh but we do have players that can play instead of Noble so its not as big a miss as Fabianski who has a Minor groin injury pfff since when do we do minor injuries at west ham...so that leaves us with Roberto in goal and from what i have seen of him that is very worrying indeed and could be the reason why our defence is out of sorts as they do not have the belief in him as they do Fab....my one question is why is it our big players that get injured why not Roberto/Sanchez instead..we truly are cursed.

With less than a week of this current window remaining open is there still to be business done? With only 2 major signings plus 2 back up keepers on frees is our squad complete? I think we are 2 short. Centre half & striker. If Chico goes we have no natural back up to Haller. At the back Reid is not the player he was & Ogbonna is a liability and will be costly for us this season. Surely the money is there? With the vast amount of outgoings this must have covered a good chunk of the combined fees of Fornals & Haller plus the save on wages. I can see Cahill from Chelsea coming in & I'm surprised we have not played our hand in the loan market!

Both our Summer signings look like money well spent this summer add to that Diagana and Johnson coming on Really well i think we really are in for a great season of attacking football...Forcandles linked up effortlessly with Anderson/Lanzini/AlloAllo and some of the passing and movement was a joy to behold but on the flip side our defending needs to up its game quite a bit Roberto is already giving me Allen McKnightmares in goal so fingers crossed for Fab to stay fit Ogbonna still blows hot n cold Reid will never be the player he once was so i think if all fit El Pel will start the season with this team.
