For these guys I would like to see The Beast rested, I dont think he is fully fit and I wouldn't risk him. I would love to see Benny and Bowen up front, I think their skill and pace would frighten the life out of the defense.... Cottee and Super Mac!

Its that time of year again so i thought i would hark back to the first west ham transfer which really hit home with me and it was of non other than Phil Parkes for the princely sum of £565thousand from QPHAA cossack hairspray and all....i rmbr the papers with pics of big Phils hands as he was then the most expensive GK in the world and lil ol west ham did that..it blew my socks off....i just about rmbr Martin Peters being sold to the spuds(will we never learn)so what was your standout Hammers transfer buy?

I don't know about you all but I would really like to see some consistentency and work rate up front, we just don't have that and are in dire need before we get destroyed by one of the better Teams and morale is affected. Love Antonio but he is never a centre forward, and the shame of the matter is the person that should be leading the line is a lazy sulking waste of space. The odd flash of brilliance is not enough and we need to replace, so what's your views on potential options in January? Loan him back to Eintracht and get an experienced proven forward like Giroud? Who else could we look to lead the line? Or do you think we should wait until Antonio returns and stick with him as a forward given his goals to date?

I've just read that the reason Benrahma isn't getting much game time is because he needs to work on retaining the ball and making the right decisions with the ball, if that's the case why is Bowen playing so often, he consistently makes the wrong decision! I think Benrahma has more in his locker than Lanzini and needs a run in the team.

In all honesty, I had to put this thread up to give Haller a bit of defence. He is a a very good striker, but as happens quite a lot with Moyes, he is currently a round peg in a square hole. Moyes isn't the most astute of managers and praise given to him usually is on reference to his boring stint at Everton with his records at Man Utd, Sunderland and that foreign club whose name escapes me right now being overlooked. Expecting Haller to mimic the play of Antonio (incidentally another round peg in a square hole) is akin to using a screwdriver to do the job of a chisel. You would expect a half decent manager to utilise the tools at his disposal and if not satisfactory then to work a way around it. In this case, to change the formation to suit the only recognised striker we have in a tactic that suits him, and yes, we do have the players that could work around it. Playing nine defensive players against a poor team like Brighton certainly isn't the way to go about it. I would like to add that it was Moyes in his infinite wisdom that allowed players such as Chicarito and Hugill to leave the club. Does anyone else have worries about him? i have noticed his distribution is getting worse and he seems to be hesitating when he can come and get the ball...is it down to the defensive changes or is his performance level slowly dropping off.....i am not asking for us to buy a new GK in January but going forward in the summer i do think it is another area we need to look at.

So here we are faced with that what is Moyes going to do? because of Arthurs injury his preferred formation is buggered so we have a flat back four so will he choose say Fredericks and Johnson and Diop to start at what on paper looks the easiest of the 3 fixtures(given our record against Brighton thats never a given!)or do you as i feel start with your strongest side win the game in front of you and then assess the fitness of players because Saints and Toffees away in 3 days is certainly going to test the fitness of our squad and considering Everton will have had the whole week to rest the strain and the legs deffo going to be showing in that one.
Having little cover it is going to take some juggling by Moyes and his team to get sides out that can compete through what will be the obvious fatigue and miss him as much as we do i hope Moyes is not tempted to throw in what will clearly be a non match fit Antonio because we saw how poor he played last time we tried that.....so a difficult week ahead for us and if we get five points from those games it will be a very good achievment...COYI
