this summer?

Submitted by mcbikeman on

yup another transfer post but just on who i think we need to move on and who i would like to see come in its only a personal view of course but we do need IMO we need 2 strikers a midfielder and a G/K but to get those we need to lower the wage bill and get good money if not decent for the following players.......Lanzini/Yarma/Anderson/Reid/Randolph.

If we can move those on then i would like to see Toney/Armstrong as the strikers coming in Loftus Cheek in the middle of the park G/k thats a difficult one for me and no one keeper stands out so maybe agent Soucek can help us on that front.

Thats who i would like to see come in but others may have better ideas and thoughts on players you have noticed and can do a job but my one wish is that Moyes forgets getting in another foreign striker because we have had our backsides spanked more than once in that area.

Lee Mason to Ref our cup game

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Talk about taking the Pi*s......Soucek with his all out UFC attack on sackofspudsmitrovic must be hoping his ban gets overturned so he can show Mr Mason "the peoples elbow" up close and personal like! and show him the difference between what he saw on Var and what everyman and his dog saw......when was this choice made and by whom? what a joke

Loan deals

Submitted by Burkie1 on

Just wondering whats the deal on loans,? Are there stipulations in the small print ? Example can they call him back anytime they feel like it ,can they set a fee we could never agree to so he would have to return to manua ,the reason im askin is because when they realise what a balls up they've made they'll value him out of our bank account.
Oh and one more thing is he eligible for the cup game against them next week , i doubt it very much ,maybe just as well ,baby face would surley get the gooner if he scored against them .

Big Beaming smile

Submitted by hammergirl on

Well boys i woke up with a big smile this morning after last night and the football wasn't bad either! lol,but seriously what a well oiled machine we looked last night and the football was such a pleasure to watch if anyone asks what is the West Ham way point them to this match.

Every player performed admirably from back to front and that poor little boy Grealish sulking because he could not get out of Coufals pocket and with fredericks backing him up it was fun watching that divers frustration grow.

Lingard wow it has been a long time since a hammer making his debut had such a massive impact on a game but he was different class and his energy fired up our team to levels Villa just could not match, this girl was unsure seeing the line up before the game but maybe i should stay in the kitchen and cook the dinner and leave the footy managing to Moyes:-).

Soucek/Coufal on rather modest wages compared to others well i seriously hope in the summer before we do any spending that these two are given better contracts because you can bet your bottom dollar that the bigger clubs will be eyeing Soucek for sure.

Slowly but surely Moyes is getting rid of the disaster that was El Pels regime and installing much needed stability and a direction that this club can build on for years to come and if we keep playing football in the manner we have been of late he will shake off the last few years since his departure from Everton which saw him fall from grace in many eyes.

I was not around during the boys of 86 and comparing eras is always difficult but i am enjoying our revival and hopefully the board will listen and help Moyes build something very special that as fans we deserve to see so COYI lets push on and leave the spuds/chavski/gooners trembling in our wake.

Stick or Bust?

First of all the headline for the post is not related in any way to Toyah Willcox! :o)

Back to footie...

I think the Liverpool game was a real wake up call for me. It highlighted some weaknesses and confirmed we are some way from being a top four side. The lack of real activity in the transfer window is worrying. No real No 9 in our ranks, which includes the very fragile Antonio, means playing the false No 9 or more than one attacking midfielders prepared to gamble and make the typical Lampard style runs.

This got me thinking that Moyes is in a predicament. Its Stick or Bust time. We have sufficient points on the board to either go full steam experiment with blooding more youth, such as seen in the FA Cup with Afolayan up front or play a more conservative approach pushing for a West Ham record number of Premier League points / position?

I personally prefer the forma. Mainly because I don’t see us finishing in top four with Champions League qualification. The worst that can happen is qualification for the Thursday night Euro Disney League which guarantees injuries on an already insufficient squad and Sunday or Monday football which I personally hate! I would like to see back to Academy basics and build for the future.

Thoughts?

COYI’s and bring on the Villa!!!

Coufal

Are you Repka in disguise????? Ok excuse the swan vestas, but I bloody love this guy. Signing of the season, if their was a badge for honesty. He'd get the VC if only the fans could be there to get behind him. I wonder what songs we'd have....??

Lampard Sacking

Submitted by Deluded Hammer on

Delighted to see the Fat One fall flat on his anus bearing in mind I think its as ridiculous a decision as it was by Chelsea to appoint him in the first place. On a positive note for us Hammers fans, one would presume that Declan Rice will be in no hurry to go there now>

The next level

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Leave the Boleyn move to the B.O.M. do this and the land of milk and honey awaits Hammers fans and the golden promise of the next level and the carrot of champions league football..........rmbr those promises? of course you do and now because of whats happened in the world we actually find ourselves in a position where that could become a reality all we need is a bit of belief and to back the manager and get the striker he desperately needs and we could well do the unbelievable and get that top four spot........WTF Gold says i have no money the Haller and Anderson deals left us potless so make do with that kid we got from Manures academy......now stinging as it may be Gold and Co have now to fulfill there promise to the Fans and dig down the back of the sofa and find the cash and show that the promises made were real and not just Bollox...but hearing on the grapevine we are now looking at the loan market FFS you just no it will go pear shaped and we will never have a chance like we have this season for a top four finish.

Who the hell are you!?

So pondering and observing the talk on here about signing a new striker, it’s suddenly struck me, I actually want us to sign someone I’ve never heard of. Bear with me. In recent times anybody we’ve signed with a reputation or expectation has been woeful. Zaza, Evra, Yarmalenko, Arnautovic ( let us down in the end), Joe Hart, Joao Mario, Chicarito, wilshere, Perez, Anderson to name but a few. All with reps. All good players at previous clubs, all came to us and flopped in one way or another. Then take Antonio, Bowen, Soucek, Coufal, Fornals and Dawson. Never heard of them. Some of them I’ve never heard of the clubs they came from. But they’ve all settled and made a starting place their own. So for me you can keep your Danny Ings, Giroud and Josh King’s and give me a “nevererdofya” from some Eastern European league for peanuts. I trust Moyes’ judgement. I trust he will only bring someone in who will add to the team not detract. So if no-ones available, we crack on and pray Antonio stays fit and if not find another way. It’s worked ok till now.
