Bindippers/Manure/Gooners

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Our next three away games Bournemouth/Palace/Leicester our next three home games how many points? right now and how Moyes sets us up i see nothing in the away games but couple of heavy defeats and maybe just maybe if we are lucky a draw at Manure which makes the three home games vitally inportant...if Moyes has any hope of a top half finish before the World cup starts he has to win all three but they are tricky games but ones we should be winning if given the encouragement to be on the front foot....inbetween all those a couple of European matches and a EFL cup game against Blackburn.....So heres hoping we do not suffer any more injuries especially in the defence but it is West Ham.

Mind games or just our luck

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Kehrer Zouma Dawson Ogbonna Aguerd....all our centrebacks all injured and unavailable for Sunday against Southampton so now what? Soucek/Rice play there would seem our only option unless Moyes goes with Rice in the middle Johnson and cresswell either side and has Coufal and emerson playing wingback......So is Moyes playing mind games or are we just cursed as usual and if they are all injured would he be stupid enough to risk any of them? our line up Sunday afternoon will be interesting to see thats for sure.

Zouma

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Zouma looks to me to be unfit and plodding along at the back and unless it is an aerial ball into the box i am not convinced by him and have not been for a little while now...his performances seem to be lethargic and his ball control has gone out the window...is he carrying an injury or has the whole catgate thing affected him more than has been let on....thankfully we have plenty of cover at the back now so would you give him a rest try and lose a bit of timber? or would you soldier on with him?.

Tired? do they know what that means

Submitted by Oldtimehammer on

Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola said that his players were Exhausted after the match against Copenhagen i would ask really? do they know the meaning of exhaustion? whilst i understand that they are top level sportsmen they are in there prime and with the squads and rotation nowadays i just find that and excuse.

In my working life i used to work 12 hours a day for a meagre wage and walked to work that was around an hour or so and the same in the evening but you did it to provide for your family so to say you are exhausted after 2 maybe 3 games in a week i truly find laughable try living a real working mans life 6 days a week and for a lot nowadays 7 days and on wages that would not come close to an average premier league players weekly wage.Harold Macmillan once said "you've never had it so good" so please all these players an managers keep quiet about Exhaustion you truly do not know what that means.

who is a squad player who is a starter?

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Moyes has his favourites we all know that but now surely even he sees that the following are just squad players unless they drastically improve....Benni Soucek Coufal Lanzini Oggy Antonio! Cresswell....

Eyebrows raised no doubt when Antonio mentioned but some of his performances have been bang average and Scamacca his competition is getting better each week and there is a lot more to his game than Ants....could they play together as a pair? not sure will we ever see that under Moyes.

Johnson back from injury and once again played as a left back that has to be frustrating but with Kehrer/Ashby able to play right back Coufals days are numbered and Johnson is going to have to get used to playing on the left unless Moyes thinks about putting Emerson there.

Lanzini is past his best he has been a good servant but every dog has its day and his is now past....Soucek has got to really up his game now with Downes showing given the chance he deserves to start...yes the opposition was not great but you only play whats put in front of you and for me he has played his way into the Fulham game but with Moyes you just know he will be on the bench.

Oggy bless him still can do a job but injury and father time is catching up with him so as a sub i think he is nailed on and for the European conference league not a problem.

I do hope Moyes now makes full use of the players he has and not stick to his tired old tactics and team selection and let the players have a bit more freedom on the pitch esecially at home.

International break topic

Just a week to go boys before the rubbish internatinoals are over soooo i'd thought i would put this little topic up.

who are the two greatest male singers/showmen of all time? young i maybe but i think you would be hard pushed to beat Freddie Mercury and Meatloaf.

I am sure Nev you will have your thoughts on this topic but i just think for vocal ability and sheer presence on stage neither can be beaten sadly i never got to see either of these two artists live but through watching film etc of them both in action i have yet to see another artist who comes close to what they did true god given talent and thankfully generations to come who have yet to discover them have a treat instore.

So any other contenders boys?

Age

Fab/Coufal/Cresswell/Ogbonna/Dawson/Antonio All north of 30yrs old all Starters for Moyes and a lot of promising youth players leaving or thinking of leaving as he refuses to use them even when we are up against poor opposition...Silkborg/Steau for instance Kidderminster in the cup last season.....Declan rumoured now to of refused £200 thousand a week so what is the club going to do??the big spend of this summer well recoup a lot of that from Rices sale but where is the forward thinking Alese sold to Sunderland why? he could of learnt a lot from Oggy/Dawson and been a good fit on the bench....Perkins again a place on the bench integrate these kind of players into the first team squad let them get a feeling they apply themselves they will get a chance but again no.....Coventry anyone really expect to see anything of him other than 5 min cameo as a sub....Downes the same how long before they feel FFS why am i here i am never going to be given a chance....no i guess our manager is happy to have two g/k on the bench as he clearly does not trust or believe in youth.

Of course a lot of younger players do not cut it but to never be given a chance is poor management and when i say chance i dont mean as a 5 minute sub then judged on that no give them five six even seven games if they struggle then they should listen and understand that they need more u23football to keep building on there footballing ability but to just be on a bench not played etc has to be soul destroying for a young footballer specially at West Ham,,,The Academy of football dont make me laugh.

The Board Room Episode 1

“Morning sports fans, glad you all could make it this morning. As you know I’ve called this meeting to find a new Jock. Good morning, Sir Trev as an honouree Ambassador I felt you should be here to,” said Dave.

“Cheers Dave” said Sir Trev. “Ere Dave, you couldn’t put your hands on another one of them cashmere overcoats could yer”? This ones 15 years old, I wear it everywhere and it’s knackered”. “I have a certain image to keep up you know”. “Calm yourself Trev”, said Dave, “I’ll have a word with Boris my Russian Tailor, he makes all my coats n hats that make me look like the mad monk”. “What Putin”? Mumbled Sir Trev whilst maintaining his trademark gritted teeth smile. “Whatever Trevor,” said Dave.

Goldie almost chokes on his corn flakes. “Haha good one Dave,” said Goldie. “Heh Trev, I bet no one's ever actually said that to you before have they”? “Course not Goldie and do you really have to slurp those things in here? It’s a board meeting for Christ sake”. “Stone me,” said Goldie”. “Did you just take our lords name in vain”? “Ere Dave, he never got booked on the pitch but he’s showing his true colours now”.

“Buttplugs” blurts out Lady B loudly whilst staring into her iPad. “That’s it Buttplugs she says looking enormously pleased with herself. This time Goldie spits out all his corn flakes over the table. “Are you on glue Lady B”, he asks with a puzzled expression. “No Goldie buttplugs, I’ve just had a eureka moment to push up revenue!”. Dave gives Trev a nudge, “push up something he remarks”.” There's no need for that Dave”, says Lady B. “That new boy, the Italian one who looks like somebody’s drawn all over him, very handsome” says Lady B getting a hot flush. “Jan Loooka” says Trev “that’s his name Lady B, Jan Loooka”

“Thank you, Trev, I’m well aware what he’s called. Dave pipes up “the Italian one, the French one, ze German one, the Checkle brothers, the Pole”. It’s like the bloody league of nations downstairs”. I went in that dressing room the other day and I couldn’t understand a bloody word that was said”. “An another thing if big Mick doesn’t stop doing the elephant trick with that bloody great Hampton of his I swear I’ll sell him”.

“Wait a minute Dave” says Goldie, “I thought we were here to talk about a replacement for Yoda”. “We are, but I want to hear what Lady B has got to say after all money is money” says Dave rubbing his hands together at the prospect. “Thank you, Dave,” says Lady B. “As I was saying, “we’ll have that Italian boys face in club colours mounted on our premium buttplug range. That way male and females alike can enjoy it”

“I like it Lady B, a sort of come and sit on Jan Loookas face and wriggle” Blurts out Trev hardly containing himself at being non-PC for once in his life. “Really Sir Trev I didn’t expect that” quipped Lady B.

“Enough already” says Goldie.

“I think we should go for a British manager this time” says Dave.

“Jock is British says Goldie”. “Is he”? Says Dave. “Cant understand a bloody thing he says either”.

“What about Rogers at Leicester”? Say’s Sir Trev

“Yes, that’s it” says Dave, Paddy as the new Jock he’ll fit right in”

“Dave it's not 1975 anymore, you can't use terms like that these days. It’s racist” said Sir Trev looking deadly serious.

“Bollocks” said Dave, “I was watching the Love Thy Neighbour box set last night with Mrs Dave, she loved it and wanted to watch the best of It aint half hot Mum. But I was knackered and knew I’d have to be in here at the crack of sparrow's fart”!

“What about Thomas Tinkle? Said Lady B

“Ze German”, said Dave alarmed at the thought. “Over my dead body” he added.

“He did lose the dressing room in Paris and again up West,” said Goldie

“What, he left them on the bus, don’t mention the war “said Dave chuckling to himself.

Looks like your humour is stuck in 1975 too, said Sir Trev

“Alright what’s the chances of getting that wop over from the Spud u Likes”? Said Dave

Dave you're going too far now I think it’s time for your medication” said Lady B

“Time for a break”, said Goldie
