Slow lethargic constant sideways and backwards passing never pressing the opposition.....How much longer do we have to put up with this kind of football? the answer is until the summer no doubt.
Just watched the second half and its only when we fall behind do we see any urgency in the play and the team play so much better going forward than they do sitting back as is always the case.
Moyes is a lucky man he got away with it today and when people say the atmospheres flat well just look at whats served up week in week out....you need to get the crowd excited with your efforts and walking around passing back and to the side does not do that.
Constantly setting the team up not to lose no matter the opposition is uninspiring and the crowd just sit bored listless and hard to generate an atmosphere when that stale kind of football is served up.

We all know we were let down by some very poor defending against Brentford and despite us looking so much better going forward with the pace and movement i have little doubt that Moyes will think nothing of ditching the system(forced on him)and go back to two defensive midfielders and sit deep hoping Forest try and press so we can catch them out we all know it will be Benni that will be sacrificed if that is the case and though he has not been pulling up trees he does seem to be the fall guy and that has to be down to the squads imbalance.

Last nights against the Gooners was that a Moyes tactical masterclass or was he just scared of losing his job and thought Bollox to it i'll give the fans what they want..as in Ants benched and Bowen up front....Wow look at that a player up front who can hold onto the ball not fall down every two minutes can pass tracks back and SCORE blimey who would of thought that and alongside Kudus who is a gamechanger how can Moyes even think of starting Ants again? Kudus and Bowen can interchange making it hard for any opposition to know who to mark.
So Brentford away Alvarez out Pacman out Zouma out? what does he do.....i would keep the back four from last night Soucek has to do the defensive midfield role put JWP Fornals in the middle Benny and Kudus and Bowen to keep doing what they did last night but i will be very surprised if Moyes even thinks of that.

I'm sure if United had not got beat they would have ended up with a home tie to Port Vale. How often do Liverpool get drawn away at this stage? Not to often. Just seen a video blog Claret and Booze, dont normally venture on this YouTube blog, the guy really laces into both Moyes and JWP.

I think we all have very strong opinions on Moyes but until now JWP has had a fantastic start to the season, having maybe still a honeymoon period but looks like people are now taking a closer look.

I have said with family and friends that he is "special" with a dead ball but his effect on open play is IMO lacking. Even against Everton even this element of his game was lacking. I dont see too many tackles or inceptions, lacks pace and the forward passes, particularly when we have a high percentage of possession, is lacking, its sideways or back. This puts more pressure on Alverez and god forbid more opportunities for Zouma to be caught out with the ball. If ever there was a footballer who looks less in control of a ball than that guy!

Maybe its also timing, I just saw on Facebook the stats for Flynn Downes, appears to be doing well at Saints.

So I ask the question... JWP, passenger or integral part of the chemistry of our style of play?

After a crushing defeat last Sunday to a Villa team in the form of their lives. Then a dismal, lacklustre performance with a much changed side resulting in yet another defeat to Olympiacos. Moyes & his team go into Sunday's game with an Everton side mourning the loss of their Chairman and looking to put on a display.
Anything other than 3 points will see Moyes with his back on the ropes. The question is whether Moyes will be Moyesand stick with his tactics & favourable. Or will he twist? A defeat here and poor results against Arsenal & a Brentford team who seem to have turned the corner will surely put Moyes on thin ice. If not through it.
Moyes needs to look at his squad. There are players there who should not be anywhere near the bench let alone starting. There are players there who need to be given a chance.
Is this Moyes last stand? Will Moyes face his Waterloo? He's in the bunker. Will he pull the trigger?

Moyes the conundrum that the board cannot find an answer to but they will have to come January.
His contracts up in the summer many say it should of been this summer but Sullivan decided as he won the trophy i am not going to pay this man off let him see out his contract then we shall see.
It IMO was the wrong decision as we were on the up and a very appealing project for a progressive manager who could sort out the few problems we had in the squad.
Now forward to next summer i think you will find we will not of won a trophy domestic or European and will not of qualified for Europe the following season.
Nostradamus i am not but with the way Moyes continues to manage the squad and the way he gets us to play i honestly do not see any other future than i have just mentioned.
All that happens who then would be prepared to take us on as a project? we would not look as attractive and the better players will start to push for moves away and back to square one we go.
Does anyone believe the board have a plan? are we looking for Moyes replacement now? i do not think we are and ever will be its the Ant and Grasshopper fable if you ask me.

OK, with Halloween fast approaching it got me thinking about the frustration I feel over Paqueta in general. This has definitely come on this season, as he has been a much bigger figure in the side.

I know I dug him out about his play acting. Of which we never saw any yesterday against the Villa. Maybe somebody has had a word? But the showboating is just as bad now.

Maybe it's a Brazilian culture thing? Maybe he believes his own hype now, since City came in for him. All I see now is him doing more attention seeking with his on field antics.

Now I'm not digging him out just because of his ridiculous holding onto the ball, looking for the fancy dan pass, that lead to Villas penalty. I've seen this more regularly now in games, it really boils my piss. He won't take the simple option, he's looking to be fouled, but more often than not, loses the ball. A scholar of the Jack Grealish school of how to win fouls he sure aint.

There is no doubt he is one heck of a player, he wins us games with his unlocking of defence splitting passes. He is one of the first names on the teamsheet and how he was not given the Captains armband is beyond me. I mean Zouma, come on don't get me started.

Paqueta works his socks off every game. We love to see that as Irons fans, he is an amazing talent. But please leave all the other shit at home. Know when and when not turn on the Ole's please Paqueta!! Jeckyll and Hyde it sure is at the moment.

So it is rumoured we are looking into the possibility of negotiating a new deal for our midfield marvel and removing the £85million buyout clause which if it were possible would be great news for the supporters but even if we did somehow manage it would it really change anything at all?

If found that he has not done anything wrong in regards to the betting scandal swirling about all the elite clubs who could afford him and want him will be in for him and financial wise could blow us out of the water with wages add to that the champions league(we still hope i know)i cannot see us holding on to him....whilst not good and with know £85million clause we can cash in again you think but the way Citeh do business we could be hard pressed to get that unless there is a bidding war.

So the risk we currently run is offer new contract on top wages and he is found guilty and gets a lengthy ban that then hamstrings us to getting a replacement whilst he serves a ban or get rid of the minimum release clause and hope for a bidding war but like Rice if he only wants Citeh then it will be a very tough negotiation to get what we want for him new deal or not.
