it was mentioned on another post but i think its worth discussing. The prem league is touted as the best football in the world to watch etc. I see it around the world and its created countries of new age fans…fans that watch it on the t.v each week but have no idea of the history of the club they support…even some of them changing clubs if their 'chosen' club is not winning. i notice 99 percent of these so called worldwide fans support Man C, Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea or Spurs….no surprise there. these glory seeking fans are welcome to their own world of football supporting but for me it begs the question, for the rest, the 'real' fans of a club, fans who grew up with the club, know its history, past players and managers etc…who were there in the glory days and the dark days…is prem league football better? compare ourselves to a sleeping giant who slipped out of the top flight into oblivion years before the prem league…say luton or notts county….isnt the whole match day experience just better? yes the toilets are not shiny and new, and the seats are cracked and rusty underneath, but is that what matters? has the prem league just become a version of tv show wrestling? all style and no substance? the players mega paid actors who are more interested in putting on a show to the world rather than actually playing proper football? its got to the stage where i would rather watch Stevenage v Cambridge on t.v than Arsenal v Liverpool. the game has lost its basic appeal…its all a plastic and for the most part predictable bore. whats the thoughts of those who have been going to prem league games? and of those who just watch it on tv too?

The gulf between the top 6 7 and 8 and the rest appears to be getting wider i never thought i would see the dross served up yesterday again but i was wrong i watched the W B A v Stoke game today and the first thing that came into my head was how in the name of god are people content to pay good money to watch this shite ,at least yesterday the magpies put in a shift ,as for managers loosing the dressing room i think its goin to be a near thing who's the first to get the gooner Slav or Wenger its a strange phenomenon but when the boss doesn't have the support of the players thats it there's no getting it back ,wenger might as well pack his bags tomorrow

Sky sports just reported that the board are reviewing bilics position after todays display left them unnerved at how the team has performed...and reporting how benitez admired west ham and was touched with how we let him go to Madrid after agreeing to be our manager.....this coming weeks going to be interesting..will they or wont they? I could not begin to fathom how our board is motivated but a full stadium at home in the prem is better than a half empty one in the championship

Okay as a team the start to the league season has been bad but a defeat away against manure who will finish in the top 3 this season and a glorious point almost achieved by ten men snatched away at the death against the saints has left us all feeling a bit depressed but come on guys lets not get suicidal over it(i am aware like a few on here i do vent my spleen often about the side)..we can quite possibly win at newcastle this weekend and if we do lets take a side view of the gooners they lose to liverpool we would be on the same points as them so who will have had a poor start then?
now for the manager i am not going to highlight his decisions faults if you will but get rid of him who would we replace him with? like quite a number on here myself included i would like to see benitez put in charge and why not with the record the man has but and there is always a but he is not happy at the funds said to be available to him and is reminding people of this and probably especially so following the defeat at home to forest in the cup...so is he saying that he cannot coach the players he has to do better? after all he is meant to be known as one of the best around or is the truth he's just one of those managers wherever he goes he has big money to spend and now thats not the case he is struggling...would pep/moanrino/conte be in the same boat?....so before we make a decision on our manager we have to be damn sure who we want next if that is the case....so a little more reasoned post for a change from me lol and if we lose like many i will be ranting away about this and that but for now i hope this makes a nice change.

Newcastle away this weekend has to be a win not a draw certainly not a defeat...they if anything are under more pressure than us now just knocked out of the cup after extra time so fitness levels will not be great how do i no that? well dont managers always mention playing that extra half hour and only having a couple of days rest and get the energy levels up is very hard...so slav fresh from our win please take note and not sit back and try to hit on the counter lets get at newcastle from the off not give them a sniff of a chance and play 2 upfront respect those fans who will make that long journey and give them and us something to cheer for before the international(yawn) break.

Just seen on the internet after tonights win, Mexican fans kicking off about Chicarito being left out of the squad having just scored two goals... but they thought Cheltenham were a premier league team! It seems English fans were quick to lambast them for their lack of knowledge about the club - maybe slightly unfairly, maybe rightly so... I feel it was slightly unfair to be honest. As a club, Hernandez is a great signing, not just because of his finishing, but also due to the fanbase he brings. With clubs like United commanding a massive contingent of fans in Asia, sad as some may see it - a large part of our expanse as a premier league club involves our marketability and global identity. Do we really want to be alienating ourselves or should be embracing support from abroad?

who plays in that? i am hoping we take it serious and dont overload it with to much youth...would like to see martinez get a run out upfront and young quina in midfield clearly adrian will start well for me he should and byram and arthur at full back as well yes i no fernandez will play but who else? i want us to win silverware this season and feel this is the best cup for us to win whatever its bloody well called.

Last season koeman gave some of his academy kids a chance in the everton first team..not on bench but playing time and now its bearing fruit....looking at how two of those kids are playing against citehs multi million pound squad shows that its not all about cash...everton spent big but still giving there youngsters a chance.....slav take note..give the kids experience it will do them a world of good.
