Yeah, most modern forwards would faint dead away watching those two tackle! But it wasn't just the odd hard man in those days, I recently watched the 1970 World Cup game between England and Brazil, and although I must've watched it live as a football mad teenager, I was astonished at how many bad (VERY bad) tackles went in. I reckon Brazil would have had 4 or 5 sent off, and England almost as many, if it had been played today.
