the Downing booking was nothing short of a disgrace and a payback to Burnley , when a player traveling at speed come s into contact with something resembling the back actor of a JCB the only way to avoid injury is to lift the back leg , or as Tony Gayle put it in agreeing with the ref ,trailing , all in all it means you have to land on one leg , now how anyone can land on one leg when jumping in a forward motion is beyond me , unless your Rudolf Nureyev of course , Downing was right to be incandescent with rage and should take it further

He made a few in the game to be fair.Apparently hes been given the job of ref for the F.A cup final-villans & gooners gawd help you!!Was Downings reaction,one of someone who dived,i dont think so somehow!We were right next to the incident & everyone could see it was a defo penalty!Pathetic burnley fans screaming at downing everytime he took a corner-talk about desperation from them!Pay back though theyll be playing the likes of rotherham next season!!;)

Lost my stream just at that point, so shall wait until can watch the WHUTV highlights before giving an opinion. But that ref was definitely card happy! Was just amazed he didn't hand out lots more cards second half.
