Fonte

Submitted by Red Neck Iron on

Apparently Fonte is about to have a medical tomorrow. So either bilic will stick with 3 at the back or maybe someone is off. In other news obiang who runs the West Ham what's app group (whatever that is), Collins and noble have contacted fat boy and told him he is not invited to a players night out and then removed from the group.

isn't that what I am typing in now:-)....and red neck get with the times mate a whats app group are people who rmbr the old style lightbulb

Is he any good? Or at least any better than Reid or Ogbonna? I thought these were our leading men, with good old Ginger Beast James Collins as backup or just to scare the crap out of people... Also have young Oxford, why are we spending £20 mil on another CB when as others have mentioned we need a RB? Also where is Masuaku, is he injured?

We have Byram at RB and plenty in CB position so why have we not gone for more fire power up front for cover when AC pulls up in a week or two. (Hope he doesn't on last weeks form) I'm wondering if they will spend any more in this window and just bring in the youth which I personally would love to see. Quina and Martinez need to be starters to get their confidence in games like Boro. If they're not cutting it bring on the experience. Not sure that will be required but hey hoe...

I've always liked Fonte - I think him and Winston is as solid a centre back pairing as you'll see....Alright at 33 years old Fonte will lack any sort of pace but he give us plenty of experience and a solidity at the back plus he'll chip in with the odd goal from set pieces - Carroll won't be needed as much now coming back to defend set pieces maybe??!

Hi guys. Haven't posted for a while as everyday life gets in the way a little. So reports are saying we are getting a 33 years old defender for 8 to 10 mill pounds. Ridiculous is putting it mildly. We have got 3 decent and experienced center halves and 2 up and coming youth players who need time on the pitch so we can nurture them to be the future of our club. We have needed a proper right back and an out and out goalscorer from this time last year. And what have we done? We went and made absolute fools of ourselves in the summer being absolutely shambolic in our deals. Spent 6.3 mill pounds on a back up left back along the way. Obviously this is getting us to the next level right? 2 years ago the plan was to buy younger players with the max age being 27 as our squad was ageing rapidly. Now two years later we are after players who are 32 to 34. Jesus and we are willing to spent a lot of cash on them as well. The club, manager and board have no plan whatsoever is what I recon. Just last season we bought a CH for 8 mll in Ogbonna - now we are looking for a replacement. Poor judgement on behalf of the manager there. End of the my point is that we are making circles around ourselves not moving in any direction, spending money of players that are not needed and everyone has to take a share of the blame including Bilic ( who I like immensely ).

Doomed if they do doomed if they don't Gerus. We bought Hendrix for a pittance because he was young and could develop, people think that's penny pinching. We buy Masuaku for £6 million and it's too much. Maybe you guys should all club together give the owners your perfect formula and send it to them, so that they never deviate and you will be happy. Good to see you back btw

Fees are what they are now but I rate him and think this he is a good signing

Fonte is a brilliant signing , better than Collins and Ogbonna. Someone said on radio tonight ogbonna is out for rest of season but not seen that elsewhere.

Good business here with Fonte, now I'd like to see Payet got rid of and cash used for sensible bids on Siggurdson and Snodgrass along with a Joe Hart bid and maybe a punt on bringing Tomkins back.

Re Sigurdsson, staying to fight for Swansea shows how absurd Payet is and shows a quality in Sigurdsson id like to see at the London Stadium.
