This is not a marquee signing, it's a throw back to the days when we extended the careers of players who struggled to cut it at the top any longer. We'd give em a 3 yr deal and get 2-3 good games out of em. Arry, you want him, you sign him for someone else!

Obviously Harry has commented and the journos have once again blow it out of proportion. Why would we resign ginge if we wanted yet another centre half. This won't excite fans for the Olympic move. I really hope the rumours are true. Take away all the off field antics and you are left with one of the best centre backs this country has produced since Bobby Moore. He has a lot in common with Moore, slow but brilliant in reading the ball and the game. I have said for months that I dont think are centre backs contribute enough at set pieces. Tonks, Ging and Winston will always get a head on the ball but it never threatens the goal. On the other hand, particularly at corners, Terry starts his run for the edge of the box, sprints pumping his arms and says "Mine" and gets the header on target and chips in regularly each season with important goals. I think our boys would learn a lot from him for a couple of seasons. SuGo.... go get him!
