Even without that top class ball by noble he was mom. He drove that second half performance when everyone expected Payet or song to. He steered the West Ham juggernaut into the right direction and to safe waters. I was impressed with some of what Valencia did as well. Fantastic pass brilliantly timed for the second. Not that it matters but neither Antonio or Valencia deserved to b subbed. Payet was missing for most of that half. Anyone who questions why noble plays? It's not very often obvious but that's why.

We have gota try and draw them out and be quick to exploit the space behind. Maybe a second player upfront I'd say. Give them a little more space to get forward and then give us more targets when they do. Midfield to lethargic .

Even Robbie Savage called it correctly, far too slow in the build up and a complete lack of energy....Very poor but I'm sure if Slav sticks Payet just behind the striker centrally he can do his damage....COYI!

Aboslute dogshit 1st half, so lucky they only had 10 men, but how we're not in front so far in the 2nd is beyond me. Hope we don't live to regret that opening 45mins

That has settled my nerves, I thought they were going to nick one at the end.

(1) Potential banana skin dispatched. (2) Clean sheet. (3) Didn't bring back recovering players too early. (4) Showed persistence and it paid off. (5) Did the business after a difficult weekend away fixture. The negatives will be that we didn't pile up the goals on a 10 man team at the bottom of the table, but I will take 49 points and a +10 goal difference at this stage of the season any day. Hope we play better against Liverpool, though.
