With only Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia and the recently arrived Nene available as the club's strikers there is a paucity of choice up front in case there are injuries or suspensions. The acts of a minority will sully (no pun intended) the acts of the decent majority in all walks and aspects of life, as has been painfully apparent of late, courtesy of the mindless Chelsea supporters in Paris. However before looking down on the actions of those supporters, West Ham fans should be incredibly wary of the fact that the World's sporting press will seize any snippet of negativity they can, and a visit to White Hart Lane provides prime fodder for the red tops.
Those West Ham fans hoping to see Nene make the squad for Sunday's match against Tottenham would do well to consider these comments by the erstwhile Mr Allardyce in his Evening Standard column "We have signed Brazilian offensive player Nene on an initial short-term contract. Now we have to get him fit as quickly as we can, his scoring record at PSG was impressive and we looked at him a year ago before he moved to Qatar. As soon as he’s fit, he’ll be in the squad and hopefully he will have an impact for us."

London Football Awards 2015: Recognising the very best of London football
Unsung heroes of London football will be recognised alongside footballing heroes Hazard, Sanchez, Fabregas and Mourinho at the 2015 London Football Awards on March 5 at Battersea Evolution, London. The winners of the remaining awards will be announced at the event, hosted by Soccer AM’s Max Rushden, and raising funds for national charity, Willow.
