West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has been putting as positive a spin as is possible on the season that concludes tomorrow at Burnley, one of his favourite expressions is "and all that" followed closely by "blah blah". Well let's deal with the 'and all that' first, Mark Noble, Cheikou Kouyate, Pedro Obiang, Angelo Ogbonna, Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho, Authur Masuaku, Sam Byram, Michail Antonio and Winston Reid have all needed operations during this calamitous first season at the London Stadium.

West Ham: Adrian, Fonte, Reid, Collins, Byram, Fernandes, Nordtveit, Cresswell, Lanzini, Ayew, Calleri.
Subs: Randolph, Feghouli, Snodgrass, Ogbonna, Fletcher, Quina, Rice.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Coutinho, Origi, Sturridge.
Subs: Karius, Moreno, Grujic, Alexander-Arnold, Lucas, Klavan, Woodburn.

The following West Ham United players have all had or will be having operations in order to prepare them for next season, and we ask if it is only Hammer's players who sustain such numerous injuries or if it is the status quo for all Barclays Premier League teams given the fast and furious nature of the globally viewed league? Angelo Ogbona and Pedro Obiang had their operations early once Fonte and Snodgrass arrived at the London Stadium during the transfer window.

So Big Mich Antonio wants to leave West Ham United? On the face of it who could blame him, the board 'apparently' don't want to offer him a deal that would see the incredibly versatile player, signed from Nottingham Forest for what now appears to be a snip at £8 Million, achieve parity with recent signings Fonte from Southampton and Snodgrass from Hull.

Only West Ham United and Newcastle 'had their collars felt' in today's 'storming' of their respective offices by HMRC officers at a highly respectable 8am, they normally arrive a lot earlier! Given the nature of the action and it's potential to implicate and tarnish two of football's most disliked and resented hierarchy's in the form of Mike Ashley and David Sullivan, it is no small wonder that the BBC's Dan Roan has jumped on the story like a dog after a butcher's bone!

West Ham : Adrian, Collins, Fonte, Reid, Masuaku, Fernandes, Nordtveit, Kouyate, Lanzini, Ayew, Calleri. Subs: Randolph, Cresswell, Rice, Makasi, Holland, Sakho, Fletcher.
Everton : Stekelenburg, Holgate, Jagielka, Williams, Baines, Gueye, Schneiderlin, Davies, Barkley, Mirallas, Lukaku. Subs: Robles, Kone, Barry, Calvert-Lewin, Lookman, Pennington, Kenny.

With the season drawing to an end, transfer rumours abound despite the window not opening for months! Having endured a spectacularly disappointing season most West Ham fans are essentially looking for two things, survival in the short term and progress in the future. Assuming the primary objective of Premier League survival is achieved, which is by no means guaranteed it is widely accepted that wholesale changes need to be made which might even involve replacing Slaven Billic as manager with Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi.

Sunderland AFC: Pickford, Jones, O'Shea, Denayer, Manquillo, Cattermole, Ndong, Gibson, Khazri, Defoe, Anichebe. Subs: Mannone, Djilobodji, Rodwell, Borini, Pienaar, Kone, Januzaj.
