West Ham United are set to sign former Manchester United left back Patrice Evra until the end of the season, the disgraced 36 year old Frenchman has been without a club since he left Marseille by mutual consent in November after kicking one of the club's fans before a Europa League match. In what many will see as a 'pound store' purchase Evra, who was banned from Uefa competition for the rest of the season, but is able to play for West Ham will arrive on a free transfer.
Under fire West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan 'confided' with Sky Sports and Talkshite presenter Jim White that Hammers had made Stoke City a record breaking £25 Million offer in order to bring Joe Allen to the London Stadium on transfer deadline day.
Brighton And Hove Albion:Ryan, Schelotto, Dunk, Duffy, Bong, Knockaert, Stephens, Propper, Izquierdo, Gross, Murray.Subs: Krul, Bruno, Goldson, March, Kayal, Baldock, Ulloa.

No one can accuse West Ham United of doing things by half when it comes to shooting themselves in the foot, and continuing along with this ethos the club has really managed to surpass itself in the last couple of days.
Even before the January transfer window closed West Ham United have confirmed that there will be no new additions to an already threadbare squad with the exception of the North East's 'Messi' Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill , who was an ideal West Ham signing because he was cheap and Hammers manager David Moyes stlll had a lot of sway at the club where he began his managerial career and was able to dig up enough dirt in order to get the 'deal' over the line.
West Ham fans can be forgiven if they are feeling underwhelmed by Hammers transfer activity during this window, having been in the driving seat to bring in exciting prospects Smolov, Dendonker And Slimani they are now in the back seat of a cab scraping up the likes of Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill and Cardiff City's 33 year old defender Sol Bamba!
Having been knocked back in their loan attempt for Leicester City's Islam Slimani, the Hammers hierarchy who have been 'burning the book with both candles' in their efforts to bring in 'suitable' reinforcements are now able to concentrate on 'other' targets, none more so than Andelecht's Leander Dendoncker. Apparently the highly rated Belgian is still very interested in a move to the Premier League with West Ham and is keen to get a deal done before the transfer window shuts.
Fyodor Mikhaylovich Smolov is a Russian footballer who plays as a striker for Krasnodar, depending on which media outlet you use he is either super keen to ploy his trade in the Premier League with West Ham United at the 'iconic' London Stadium, or is super wary of joining a team that looks destined to struggle for the rest of the season with relegation a distinct possibility at the 'ironic' London Stadium.
