Liverpool sunday wont win so put some fringe players in and save the others for burnley/hull fixtures.....couldn't argue with that right now could you?

I like so many west ham fans i looked foward to this season so much in fact i couldn't wait for the summer to be over ,after last years brilliant performance i was thinking maybe just maybe a top four place everything seemed to be in place ,a massive new stadium ,lots of new signings (if we only new ) there seemed to be a much healthier outlook all round ,but three months in and the wife keeps asking me "what the matter love " she says theres been a real change in my mood and do you know what she's right ,after one of these cloberings i wake up in the morning and like every nightmare you slowly come to terms with it and it slips away from your consciousness but with our beloved west ham in this septic tank im in a bad mood for the rest of the day ,
I, like a lot on here have been following the club for half a century it had become my identification i fully expected that when my time on this mortal coil was up my casket would have my west ham shirt drapped over it ,you see i dont have many hobbies i like to tinker about in the garden but thats about it my greatest enjoyment was watching west ham on the box and the occasional trip to uppers where by the way the atmosphere was palpable especially on a cold winters night with the lights on ,sure we were in trouble lots of times but that was all part of the deal ,we were a family club from the east end our goal was maybe one day a top four finnish but if it didnt happen then what the f**k we were happy with mid table ,i remember those majic decades the 70s ,80s and 90s when we were every other clubs supporters favorite second team ,sure we were relegated e few times (that time under Roeder 2002 ) but that was par for the course we knew we'd be back after a couple of seasons ,it was all part of the hunt ,but now their turning uppers into a block of flats or a car park and the bulldozers are breaking up the place and breaking our hearts ,the three business people wanted more ,they saw us completing with the big four in the premiership and having great encounters with Real Madrid and Barca .
But now im afraid i will soon have to stop watching my beloved west ham for the same reason i gave up watching and listening to the news every night ,far to depressing

Please help to keep Hammers tv alive.) then you click on and its audio only and a popup at the top says this is not hammers tv but mob using this stream and West Ham cannot be held for what is shown. for fxxxx sake its either hammers tv or its not. no wonder its going tits up when even our own stream isn't our own.

For a start there must be a big clean out, the likes of Zazza, Tore, Callerie, Nordvelt, even Fernandez have to go. I don't expect Payet to stay as he will not want to face relegation and will be tempted by the bigger clubs with the promise of European football so we will need to find players that can help us stay up. For me it is good if we can get in 1 or 2 decent foriegn players but I would look to the championship players as they would not be as expensive but have a bit of experience. Also the Scottish league as there are some players that could adapt quicker than foriegn players and we will need them to start quickly. A couple that should be looked are Tom Rogic and Dembele from Celtic, both are in good form.
With the failure of the last transfer market we have no choice but to go for broke and it will be an interesting market.

Cheikhou Kouyaté, Diafra Sakho, Andre Ayew and Sofiane Feghouli if fit could all be missing in mid jan to 5th feb because of the african nations cup add to that the rumour of us being in for the sunderland centre back Lamine kone for around (£15million)if true he would also if fit be at the African nations cup......so what will happen to our formation and players coming in during this time.....upfront we all know we are short but sakho showed against utd his turn of pace has clubs having to respect us a bit more and sit back so without him will we buy/loan sturridge as a replacement? kouyate will be a massive loss so ginge reid and ogbonna will be the back 3 Antonio/cressy as wingbacks obiang in middle with noble lanzini/payet and who knows maybe carroll(new that would make you smile) upfront....there would not be much depth on the bench fletcher and maybe samuelson making a showing but we would not have much room for changing players around so have to hope we stay injury free for that month but we all know our luck there.....so heres hoping for heavy snow to fall during those weeks....palace/citeh at home saints/boro away....3 winnable matches at a critical time and a tasty one that you never know we may surprise a few again...
seriously though it is clearly going to be a crucial time for us and I do hope those at the club are aware and plans are being made or we could be in the brown stuff even more than we currently are.

on talking about sturridge and him being an 'england international' it got me thinking, does this really count for anything these days? it used to indicate a players worth and value but can anyone honestly say that these days playing for england is any big deal to have on your c.v? my argument is what exactly has england done in say the last decade or more? can we say that sturridge is worth signing because he's an england international? whats the value of this these days? is it more than say a colombian international? or a russian international? or swiss? we are no better than a lot of the nations that qualify for tournaments and do nothing of note. Its with this in mind that i wonder why english players attract such a high premium still for prem clubs? i think it also says a lot about the nations football standards that gareth south gate is going to get the job. i know he's had experience with the youngsters but this is a man who was abysmal at club level. how does he end up with the top job in the country football wise? i do however believe that perhaps the right way to look at it is well actually the players are not very good so whoever is in charge is going to make little difference. south gate however tactically is going to get out thought by many a nation in my view especially if we get to the big tournaments. he even accepted himself that he is just a 'basics' man. all in all its a pretty sad state of affairs. we've got an ageing rooney who seems to still be the main man for england despite him being pretty hopeless. says a lot that we have to keep debating if he should be in the team or not as there is simply a lack of talent to choose from otherwise he wouldn't be anywhere near it. he reminds me of david platt….no real ball skills or incisive passing but could score goals…only rooney can't do that anymore.

january coming round and its clear we will be buying but why are the board so obsessed with big name/marquis players? why not do better research on players instead of oh yeah heard of him he must be good lets buy!! sturridge and now mandzukic have been linked with moves...the latter is 30 never played in this league why would he be a success? the former is selfish and when injured its never short term err been there doing that right now..
so why buy names? is it because they fear as fans we would not go if we have never heard of the player?...yes sometimes it is nice to be linked to players with high profiles but come on Antonio is proof that you can unearth real gems for little outlay and now his profile is as high as most in the prem....so stop scouring the foreign market to death lets have a look closer to home and whilst you do have to pay more surely its better than laying out big bucks for lame ducks.....

impossible I know and undeserved but I want to talk about how much more fluid we were today and how much better we were through the middle of the park we were quicker sharper in moving the ball...obiang was immense and lanzini had a great game.....will noble struggle to get back in on todays performance? sakho of course way off match fitness tried hard but he was heavy legged but games under his belt he will get that back its just unfortunate those games are manure gooners and poo.........fernandes looked good again Antonio just gets better and better and scores no matter what position he plays in. we still have work to do of course but despite the travesty of todays result the team played well for 89mins!

been a slow week for news club wise because of the international break so a story surfaces that the Quatar are looking to buy a premier league club and first name up was ours.......if they came in with a mega offer(somewhere in usa we have been valued at £1billion)do you think the board would sell? we all hear that they will not sell the club but as ever money talks.....after seeing the pictures this week of the Boleyn being demolished I just think the club I followed from boy to man is slipping further and further away....
