Is anyone getting annoyed about life's little or indeed big cons? What ones irk you? We all heard of the Nigerian prince scam and hardly a week goes by when someone emails me telling me how luck I am to have won $thousands if only I tell them ....... Anyway the one that irks me at the moment is CAR TAX! It's bad enough that it isn't spent on our roads but to add insult to injury it's not even transferable and then we have to pay for car repairs for hitting pot holes! It's just a total con. URG!

So its confirmed, Woy is back. Its an interesting one this. You appoint a new manager, listen to his philosophy and ideas, give him the go ahead to make the changes style wise, give him the pre season, the summer and then get rid of him after 4 league games. For me you can't compare this to Bilic as with Bilic, like it or not he had won 3 games in 17 and the poor start simply sent alarm bells clanging that nothing had changed. Jury is still out on Bilic imo. But the de boer sacking is pretty ridiculous. Why appoint him in the first place if you don't expect it to take time to change from the allardyce set up to the ajax? de boer didnt help himself i agree but it was the wrong appointment at the wrong club imo. now they have Roy? Really? He's been basking in the millions he stole from pretending to do the england job and his ideas are so outdated they make allardyce look like the new tactical guru in town. palace will probably be better, they can't be any worse and it will be 4-4-2 I'm guessing, direct stuff. nothing wrong with that. but where is the forward thinking? the man is 96 years old. Talk about losing the dressing room, he will forget where it is. It does keep the prem league circus interesting i guess, at least it wasnt us sacking bilic and now sitting looking at a corpse in the pre match interview. Palace have mucked this one up big time.

I live in a relatively quite part of Somerset and when I was having a swift pint in a village pub, I listened to a conversation between a few lads who were Yeovil Town fans. The conversation was regarding their poor start to the season in the lower reaches of League 2, the topic was the next match and the comment was "its a pity we can't play West Ham as we need an easy game". Ears really atuned the conversation developed into a discussion about our club. The most telling comment which really increased my adrenalin flow is that "West Ham are a joke team with joke owners, joke players, and joke manager". Very upset and extremely pissed and wishing I could relive those days in the Sixties on the old North Bank where those sort of statements led to severe repercussions, then the comments went, "its a shame as the West Ham fans are brilliant and deserve better". Well, what can you say, our entire last season and the start of this encapsulated in a few words by a bunch of piss artists in a pub in Bruton!

My first time at the London Stadium will be for the Huddersfield game, and I'll be travelling down with some Huddersfield fans. A couple of them are getting the train back up North after the game. They're booked on the 11 o clock from Kings Cross. Will they get back to Kings Cross in time, or will they need to leave early (and avoid their celebrations no doubt) or should they get back in time if they leave at full time?

Jeez I will be pissed of if we lose out on him because S & G stuff this up over a couple of million, I know it's their money but I don't think I am the only one. If they are serious about us being a chance for a top seven club, deals like this have to go through. We have to have something for top players to want to come to us otherwise why did we have to move away from Upton park and why keep bigging themselves up talking about players that they don't have intentions of paying for. If you want big name players then you will have to pay money for them as they don't come cheap especially now. I still think they have done a good job getting us out of the shit but is it 2 steps forward or 3 steps back just to stay in the bottom 10.

Yesterday Karren Brady tried to drop Slaven Bilic in the blame for last season and up the pressure on him for this season. She said that the decsions about who to bring into the club belong exclusively to the manager, except for a small pot of money that David Sullivan uses for the "ones for the future". But as usual, she doesn't tell the whole truth. Maybe Slav proposes the targets, and he probably even ranks the targets, but Sullivan, Gold and Brady decide how much the club is willing to spend and whether or not to enforce a "one in, one out" policy (effectively also a position on how much to spend). And as we all know, those who hold the purse make the decisions. Slaven has as much as said it now with: I've left the Carvalho decision in the club's hands. It's up to (and I quote) "the people who MAKE these decisions". Now this not only shows where the real decisions lie, it also shows the tension building between the chairpersons and the manager. So will they fork out the money to get Carvalho? It's not in Slaven's hands. It's not the manager's decision. (Incidentally, Ms Brady seems also to have lied about "Athletics won't interfere with the start of the season again" since the Muller Games are set for 28-29 July next year.)
