Just picked my seats at the Olympic Stadium.
Had an appointment yesterday at the West Ham Reservation Centre at Westfield to pick where I want my season tickets to be in the new stadium. I am a Band 1 Season Ticket holder and currently sit on the 2nd row of the lower East on the half way line, so I wanted something similar at the OS.
I was amazed how many good seats have gone already. The bond holders have already had their pick, and Band 1 has been running since Tuesday/Wednesday and remember that all existing season ticket holders can add another 2 additional people. According to the "salesmen" taking our instructions sales are much, much better than expected at this stage.
Anyway, I have picked the East Stand again, which is going to be the largest stand of the 4 and will rise like a "kop" and hold over 21,000 people. I'm sure it's where the bulk of the noise is going to come from as the West stand is going to be very "corporate". I have not gone for the 2nd row because at the OS this means you looking at the players legs. The best views are at the back of the lower tier or the front of the 2nd tier. Unfortunately the club know this and have made these "1966" seats. This means they are cushioned and have your name stitched on them but are £1100 each - regardless of whether you are an adult, young adult or under-16. I go with my 2 sons so I wasn't going to be pay this 3 times. So anyway, I wanted to sit as near to these seats without paying the 1966 prices - which is what I have booked. I will now be in in the 15th row. It is still very difficult to truly judge what the view will be like from the computer virtual reality pictures. We will only really know for sure when we see it for the first time in person.
One nice bonus yesterday was that James Collins, Stewart Downing and Morgan Amalfitano were all there. Spoke to them very briefly and shook their hands. (They are always much skinnier than you think when you meet them, aren't they? Not an ounce of fat on any of them.) Downing insists that they are really geared up for Newcastle on Sunday!

Yes he is stubborn and annoying quite arrogant too, probably talks a lot of excrement after a game as well, and he has never for many of us fitted our club well being so negative in his style and tactics.
But as I watched him probably (Who really knows), walking around a quarter filled Upton park for the final time as the West Ham manager on MOTD for what to me looked like lap of shame, he looked like a broken man chewing his gum reticently and applauding the few thousand fans who chose not to run away from seeing his supposed smug mug, which I felt this time did not look as smug as normal.
No one can deny that West Ham are in a far far better position than we were in when he first took the reigns, and I for one Thank him for that, and I have to say although I am not a fan I like him in bits and bobs, but I could not eat a whole one as they say.
The money should help to kill any misery he feels, and I am sure he will be welcomed well if not very fondly back to West Ham if ever he chooses to go to watch a game.

i dont know about anyone else but i think this guy could well have been the worst manager in our history , i know , i know he took us back to the prem , he's kept us mid table , thing is right with the likes of say Roeder , everyone new he was a complete prat but with Sam its not like that, there area sizable minority that think he is good for this club , and so you have division and even animosity among fans , i'll tell you one thing , they'll be waiting in line to have him as a pundit next year , the muphets on motd , sky, bt , they'll be wanting all the juicy bits , all the dirt on west ham and how the poor old soul wasn't appreciated, and you know what ? he wont be slow bad mouthing us , old Liniker & Lauro will be foaming at the mouth , on the edge of their seats , can you imagine super prat limiker at the end of the interview turning to face the camera with that gobsmacked expression on his boat, it'll go something like this [" and there you are , big Sam , some would say what were west ham thinking , i would say he's better off out of there , a club that doesn't know when they've a good manager ?, well maybe they dont deserve a good manager "] never mind Sam Russel Brand still loves you

Just seen on SSN in an interview with our beloved leader that he will not be at the meeting about his future on Monday as he will be away on holiday.
Looks like whatever the outcome will be is already sorted !.

So Andre Villas-Boas has suddenly shot up in the bookies odds to be out next manager. How does everyone feel about that prospect?

I see that Teddy has joined my local team Stevenage as manager,I wish him well as he has taken over a good team.Reached the play off's this year but lost in extra time at Southend.I wish him well,first management post.

Let sam go after newcastle and appoint Dyche? Its been a debate all season, 'who would replace sam' if he goes. its been a good point. klopp and benitez i think its safe to say aren't interested, so thats them ruled out. looking at us as a club the potential quality of manager we can attract is debatable. looking at who would jump at the chance to manage us and the list gets smaller. I ruled out Dyche earlier because burnley didnt do a lot in all honesty, showed us some good matches here and there but difficult to judge his tactical ability due to the lack of quality in his team. looking at sam and his comments, its not what we want to hear. all he has to do is be honest and say you know what this year (since jan) its been very poor, i need to make some changes in the summer, bring in one or two blah blah. what we don't want to be hearing is that everything is fine and dandy etc. i've always said this is the right time to move on, to get a new man at the helm and someone who can stay with us for a good few years, building forwards. If we offered Dyche the job he would no doubt take it. he's not going to get a chance at anyone above us as i can't see any changes happening there. newcastle is not an attractive job either with the owner. so i'd say why not? he's youngish, has some fresh ideas, can motivate ….his 4-4-2 is a bit basic and may be found out but he has the appeal of being a rodgers type, likes to look for youth and sustainability. Anyone else think Dyche would be a decent choice all things considered and realistically looking at the options?

Who does he think he is kidding? Newcastle will do what 15 teams have done to us since Christmas and prevent us from winning or beat us! We have only won 3 since I was eating my Christmas pudding :-)
I have this one down for a big Newcastle win and us going out with a whimper! I reckon he has finally lost it this week especially saying it has been a very successful season.
If SUGO keep this dinosaur on another two years I will not go to watch until he has gone!
