Blimey o'Riley

Submitted by darrenharry on

Spent the weekend away. Lovely time, lots of friends that purport to be football fans but Liberace was more devout than them.
Cue 5th beer on Saturday afternoon, wifi kicks in as I casually browse the scores at half time.
Beer went over, friends child soaked, screams, chaos and me just staring at my phone...2-0? How the fu** (one for the org)
Walking away from the screaming child (who was fucking annoying by the way and deserved it - one for Esther) my day swam away and my heart and mind lived in Liverpool.
The brain and basic instinct clicks in and all I can think about is West Ham. The group enquire what the score is, my wife has seen my shark eyes and knows something is on and we're doing well, she knows this'll be a big night.
I tell the plastics something big is going down. They pretend to know and agree, I just prey my 4g holds out.
It did.
When noble went I knew we were ok. The sky was stormy and the mood strange, something was up and the result was on.
When Sakho sent in the 3rd I ordered Moët (the establishment had nothing better) and it went all over the shop. This time everyone screamed. I gave the owner the damages and he was happy.
It doesn't happen often.
Kin sore head this morning by worth it.
This is not why we love West Ham though. This is because we are West Ham.
bring it in now bilic, bring it fucking on.

sendings off

Rodgers claims neither was a sending off. I agree nobles wasn't even a foul but the more I watch coutinhhos the more I see it as a right decision. Whether he pulled out of the tackle or not he still clattered payet to the ground. It was surely a yellow card and of course that meant he was off. Rodgers is looking for excuses imo.

Org charity

Submitted by plaistow-man on

As we all seem to be in a good mood I thought about reviving the Org Charity and it is quite simple you choose a charity and donate at the end of the season , you can choose goals scored , points gained (please keep it simple) I will pledge £1 for every goal scored (including games already played inclusive of Europe and Cup matches) and the recipients will be GOSH. So already 9 league and 8 Euro goals is already £17 in the bank... who is with me?

this is what its all about

days like this , we may never win the prem , we might have the odd run in the cups , we'll always have our ups and downs , we'll probably always slag the shite out of each other , we all think our opinion is the one that counts, but days like this and against Arsenal make everything worth while , i don't care who you are and who you support you can never feel what we all feel , what its truly like to support a club like west ham , the glory hunters and bottomless pockets of the big boys will never understand what real supporters are , that tingly feeling you get on the back of your neck when we score and when ,like today, all the pundits , including big Sam are singing our praises, you totalscum fans , chelsky , manua ( would you believe old Botox face has spent almost a quarter of a billion pounds sinse he's been there ), if they tore down your stadiums would you really care ? be at Upton park when we play our last match , because i'll tell you now if you've never seen grown men cry, unashamedly, you'll see it that day , perfect strangers will hug one another and no one will leave for ages after the final whistle , to be very honest im dreading it , i hate goodbye's and i wont even be there , thats what being a west ham supporter means , pride , family , and love of a football club that the others would find strange , so my brother's and sisters lets bask in this glory , because we are west ham , and to the likes of Liniker who despises us i say up yours you tosser

So we hear that the board wanted and were in a 'whisker' of signing benitez as manager. Not only is this statement unnecessary and disrespectful to Bilic but if true it reveals something else. Surely benitez would have 'demanded' substantial investment into the team, surely he would have been promised several players of quality otherwise he surely wouldn't have come near the club. With this in mind it appears that the board had the funds but are not spending to help Bilic instead. I'm guessing they got the 'cheaper' option in Bilic and splashed out on payet and ogbonna as a sign of their 'backing' and have since decided no more for him instead all the usual 'pretend' moves that fall through etc. There's simply no way benitez would take the job without transfer money guarantees so I suspect Bilic with his desire for the job was not given the same promises. The question is why? If they had it for benitez why not for Bilic? All sounds and smells of dirty tricks

Sullivan on Benitez

Submitted by TVG on

So our chairman has been at it again saying that we were '3 hours away from getting Benitez'. He then goes on to lament the fact that we didn't get him. What is the point of raising this publicly? It can surely only succeed in undermining Bilic. We all knew he wasn't their first choice, but some things should be left unsaid. Getting fed up of them airing dirty linen to try to convince the fans how hard they're trying to push the club forward and that it's not their fault if it's not happening. Very unprofessional. It didn't happen so move on.
