Forget signing Lingard

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Controversial maybe but as brilliant as he has been for us for me it will only ever be a short term thing.....he had something to prove and a point to make which he has done remarkably well but will it continue? i am not so sure and financially would it be a good deal in these current times? forget Europe because that is not the money spinner everyone thinks it is unless of course you are in the champs league....for me as a Cameo he has been unbelievable but i just do not see it lasting IMO...so a big thank you Mr Lingard but for me as a permanent signing i think not but that is only my opinion many others would say i am mad and of course they are entitled to but at the end of the day its Moyes the money men and of course the player himself to make the decision.

The Southampton Ballot

Submitted by Dartford Bhoy on

I have two season tickets and received the expected news that I wasn't lucky in the ballot for tickets for the last game of the season. I am really disappointed, loved to have been there even with a reduced gate, a few beers with bruv and mates, Honest Burger on the way home celebrating a win and Champions League football next season... Ok, maybe not the last point :o)

Just wondering, does anyone on The Org know anyone with a ticket? It looks like a Corporate Ticket stitch up and probably heading for the Popcorn munching Tour Operators (65 will love that :o) )

I have a few pals with tickets ranging from the cheap to the over priced Club London's and none were "Lucky".

Would love to hear of a genuine fan getting a ticket, the cynic in me says there wont be many!!

Womens Team Manager

Submitted by Bondsy on

Early on last year I posted on the Womens Team Manager Matt Beard, a good record but lacking in respect for the women he managed imo. Constant F words which even surprised me when watching Jack Sullivan,s program that saw the Ladies get to the FA Cup final. Not impressed at all with the way he spoke to them. Some really good summer signings in 2020 but poor results told me this man was not long for the job. Olli Harder was appointed in December 2020 and has kept them in the top womens super league, a bit like David Moyes kept us in the season before last. This guy is Norwegian and has a really good record in the Norwegian Womens league so just maybe he can do what Matt Beard failed to do.....without all the swearing and proper coaching. We have good players they just need good management and coaching to see them perform better next season. I will also now take my two young grandsons to watch them knowing I wont have to listen to foul language being shouted across the pitch.

Missing out on the champions lg

Submitted by Burkie1 on

You can sence a lot of pessimism around today after that result ,little bit of shock along with tinge of disappointment and a dollop of regret, but we've had a season like no other ,i woke up after some of those results and said " f##k it " ,poxy dreams.
We cant let this get the better of us ,we must maintain positive thoughts through the clossed season and start afresh next year, its not goin to be easy ,specially if we loose 1 or 2 players that we might be expecting to loose but we can do it all again and this time go all the way ,dont know about you but i felt great with all the comments about our journey to the top 4

cheer for the spuds?

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Never thought you would see that or i'd write it but just looking at Leicesters run in they have Barcodes/Manure/Chelski/Spuds....as well as of course the cup final against Chelski so if they don't win friday night against the Barcodes we could catch them if we keep up performances like last night and it might mean we are cheering for the spuds(WTF!!!!!!!)on final day something that any self respecting Hammer can bear to think about.....football sometimes make strange bedfellows but do we really want that? i feel dirty just thinking about it
