Shambles!

Submitted by Enfieldhammer on

With 5 positions identified to be signed to strengthen our wafer thin squad. West Ham have signed 1, a Goal Keeper which was needed but not a priority. If anything with the loss off Lingard & Balbuena we are considerably weaker going into the new season. And guess what? Our season kicks off in less than 48 hours.
Absolutely shambolic and disgraceful. These clowns could not run a bath let alone a Premier League club.

Diop to Leicester?

Submitted by hammergirl on

I would say yes sell him if we manage to get in Nikola Milenkovic and Duje Ćaleta-Car,my reason is i just do not feel safe with Diop at the back unless he is alongside Ogbonna he looks to my eyes very vulnerable a bit of a bambi on ice sometimes. and we could get £30million for him easy what are your thoughts boys?

Messi

Getting away from our non transfers i just need to get this off of my chest.

Messi is said to be in shock that the club he loves and wants to play for have had to let him go for financial reasons his father who is also his agent can't believe it either.

Well Mr Messi how about you taking a pay cut or even play just for a nominal fee? i mean you can't and wont ever be wanting for money ever again and your family well looked after for life but i have a feeling you wont.

We all work to make ourselves hopefully finacially secure in later life but people like this make me laugh and i am afraid it is just pure greed.

In shock him and his father maybe but when the next big paycheque comes in i am sure they will get over it.

The boys of 86/35yrs later

Know this is not a where are they now post this is a those who don't read history are doomed to repeat it.....and i have a terrible feeling that is what will happen to us this coming season.

Boys of 86 a great set of lads and a starting line up good enough for anyone in the league but get an injury and suddenly like a house of cards it all starts to collapse...so did the club build on what was the best season in living memory? we all no they didn't finished 15th the following season...season after that 16th followed by the inevitable relegation the next season....all because Cearns couldn't or wouldn't build on the progress made in 86...Best players ended up being sold club going nowhere.

Here we are 35years later after another of the greatest seasons in our clubs history and does anything look or sound familiar? Moyes has done a terrific job at transforming our club so quickly but now he is running into the problems all the previous managers have done and that is in a certain Mr Sullivan....this man claims to of saved our club and all the rest of the speel he and his cohorts come out with but season in season out and until 2023 has gone and he can sell the club without paying a penny back we are stuck with him and so our great club will once again stumble to a midtable at best finish which will see any of our decent players sold next summer and then he will try and keep us in the division with as little spent on the squad as possible in order to sell it the following year.

Instead of grasping the nettle and prepare to push on and improve a very good first eleven we tuck our tail between our legs and trot off blaming anything and everybody else except themselves for the failings i fear to come as soon as the injuries start to pile up as they do at our club.

Impossible to keep

£100 million+ how can a club like us or as we see Villa and looks like the spuds as well how can you turn that money down for just one player? simply put you cannot and the reality is if one of the truly big clubs here or in europe want one of your players then you are powerless to stop them going if they want to.

Grealish to citeh now a certainty and as much as Villa fans may moan it is a fact of life and one we West Ham fans no is the same we will face next summer because i am certain that Rice will go and for the same money if not more the way he is progressing.

Why do they have to leave some ask but lets face it the players Grealish/Kane/Rice are playing with at the moment are good decent premier league players but when it comes to clubs like Citeh/Chelski/Munich/Barca/Madrid/PSG you are getting to the highest and elitest players in world football not just one or two but every player and who would not want to play and train with players and coaches who will make you an even better player than you are now.

What we as a club and as fans have to come to understand is that in Rice we have a phenominal player who is coming into his own more and more and after his performances at the Euros we are doing well to keep him this season IMO.

Now as Villa are facing upto life without Grealish there fans have to understand players like him and Rice do not get replaced you cannot do it and you must not obsess about getting the new Rice/Grealish in you have to be realistic as Clubs like ours and Villa are lucky to have such a player and they standout simply because they are that good and as such when they go you realise just how lucky that we have been to of had such a calibre of player playing for you.

Gareth Bale had to move back in the day he was as mentioned above(Rice/Grealish) just head and shoulders above the players he was currently playing with and it was no surprise that Madrid got him because like i have said if one of the elite want your player then you are powerless to stop it from happening....spuds squandered the money they had to appease fans Villa and eventually us will have to make sure that we do not fall into that trap and be held to ransom by others when we come calling for a lower clubs best player.

So enjoy Declans performances this season and unless we somehow managed to qualify for the champions league next season then it will be his last year in a West Ham shirt it will be sad to see such a fine young player go but at money of over £100 million+ you just cannot turn it down.

No No No No No

Depending where you look for your Hammers info we are close to signing the prolific goalscorer ( 2 in 29 ) Martin Braithwaite from Barcelona. It's reported we need to increase the £105k a week he is currently on! Well i would not pay £1.05 a week for this piece of shit. Would rather see Coufal & Rice given the money.
Glad to see the Phil Jones signing has seem to have run its course. Another piece of shit. Was hoping we had seen the back of waste of money signings.

who is telling porkies?

Times journalist Henry Winter and Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan have both published a statement reported to be from Philip Beard who was linked to a Wets Ham takeover attempt in February.

Winter says “Philip Beard of Pai Capital on his consortium’s bid for West Ham…says “David Sullivan was provided with a proof of funds” and consortium remains “committed to pursuing opportunities to purchase the club”. Keegan adds “Response from Philip Beard and the consortium trying to buy West Ham to David Sullivan’s odd statement after Daily Mail story last week that a bid had been turned down from the club. Say proof of funds was provided and asking price was met.”

The statement alleged to originate from Philip Beard reads “It is not my intention to engage in a public debate on the comments made by David Sullivan last week, but upon advice, it is necessary to correct unhelpful and inaccurate statements.

The current owners of West Ham United made a controversial commercial decision to move the club from its historic home at Upton Park to the London Stadium in Stratford. In my assessment, ad that of the consortium that I represent, that is move is not fulfiling the needs of the club, its loyal fanbase or the local community. There is a lot that can and should b done to improve the experience for all fans and visitors to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. There is also a duty which we all share to the British taxpayer and to our Olympic legacy as Londerers – and ours is a London-based consortium.

In response to the David Sullivan comments about the nature and value of the bid put forward by the consortium, I can confirm that a formal bid was made which in fact the figure David Sullivan had initially asked for. Our City lawyers were instructed and David Sullivan was provided with a proof of funds.

We remain committed to pursuing opportunities to purchase the club, the London Stadium, and its place within the Olympic Park as a whole. It is backed by prominent personalities in sport, as well as West Ham legends who love the club and want to play a role in its development. We wholeheartedly welcome their support and hope that we will, together have the oppotunity to deliver the project that we have planned.

This is a once in a lifetime oppotunity to build West Ham United into a Londerers’ club of global importance, as a key part of the broader legacy being delivered at Queen Elizabeth park. The fans of London deserve this.

Shall we have a poll Nev!

yeah i copied and pasted it from that frightfull site so real West Ham fans can read and ponder.

"Nothing close to happening on transfer front" Moyes words

Submitted by mcbikeman on

Thats heartening isn't it...Nothing close to happening? wtf have the club been doing this summer then it would seem nothing at all....now is this because of the lack of talent out there or the lack of funds or is it Moyes just not making his mind up as to what he wants because he and the club had best pull there fingers out sharpish otherwise last seasons superb effort by the players will all be for nothing......What happened to we want to get our business done before the Euros Moyes? and then having a jolly watching it whilst being paid i presume by the euros organisers....and as i write this an earworms started singing..There maybe trouble ahead!
