Could this be a blessing in disguise?

Payets exile seemed to be every West Ham fans nightmare on day one but, Bilic's open outcry about how dissapointed he and the club are after all they have done for the lad may turn out to be a major turning point for the club in a very positive way. We adored him, I remember walking up Upton Park station and getting kudos from Ollie as I started the chant and his mates joined in before the whole platform which is sad, but true lol Bilic's revelations and then the 'bombshell' about the loyalty bonus changed the majority of our fanbase's opinion about Payet overnight. He went from being Abraham Lincoln to Donald Trump, in the popularity stakes, and the only worse move he could have made was declaring his love for 'Spudland'. Last season the man (debateable now of course) was a genius at times, but this season it had already been noted that we seemed to be playing with 10 men as he was non-existent? In the past week we have found out the sad reason why, as he was dishonest and strung along those that supported him and helped him with his new venture. He was fed up at his previous club, despite Champions League football, and moved to West Ham on a bigger salary. West Ham believed in Dimi and helped him to find a level of form that he hadn't achieved for some time or maybe never before? His performances in the best league in the world helped him to national call-ups and to be part of the squad for the European Championships. He excelled and came back a different person, which was unfortunate for West Ham as his head was turned by certain people and he decided to strike. So what do I mean by the'blessing in disguise?' The atmosphere in the stadium last Saturday was apparently the best of the season, we played as a Team and with 11 men on the pitch instead of 10. We won 3-0 and everyone seemed to pull their weight in the second half. So has Payet's petulance stirred up both the fans and the players so much that the club will see a benefit? The reaction of the supporters and the players may work to the benefit of the board, and Payet's behaviour just might end up being a 'blessing in disguise?' A couple of good signings and the sale of Payet could actually work for the club, yet we all would have poured scorn on such ridiculous claims last season.

just dont think they understand

so after a week where many of my friends who support other clubs have taken great delight in the payet situation I had to point out that as west ham fans we are united behind the manager and the team and that we have Lanzini who is every bit the player if not better than coutinio at Liverpool who is lorded on high purely because he plays for the scousers.....and who will come to the front even more now the shadow of payet has been removed...I just don't think they understand how good this player is and how much better he is going to get...like Antonio you think mmm whats this player going to be like and like Antonio he is proving a revelation.....Lanzini is the man he's better than Zidane :-)

keep it simple?

it was a poor palace side but a simple 4-4-2 looks so much better. feghouli suddenly looks good playing a natural winger role. carroll had service from wings and lanzini was released from shackles. will bilic stick with it or will he revert to trying the conjested midfield stuff that goes nowhere? the back four looked far more solid too

thinking ahead

and if not this window then the summer one we really need to look at central midfield and of course noble...he is not getting any younger and if we are serious then I would take a look at recruiting Wilshire as the gooners not even bothering to open contract talks with him so he looks done....we all would like siggurdson from Swansea this would invigorate a midfield with kouyate and obiang and Lanzini adding to the competition...yes the RB area we all know needs looking at but the centre of defence as well ginge will be pensioned off ogbonna has seriously been slacking this season of course we have reece oxford and burke waiting to step up but may need another year to develop...striker wise until we know the sakho situation I am not sure what the club will do...with fernandes developing well with his appearances this season and samuelson still progressing out on loan and of course a man who is proving to be first name on the team sheet Antonio we are well off in the wide player dept....of course he keeps doing what he does you can bet your bottom dollar we will be fighting off some massive bids for him.
one last thing on Payet hopefully he will be gone as trying to bring back someone who refuses to play for the club and goes on strike well I would not want to play with him again if I was one of the first team and as fans we all know we will give him grief and never accept him back ever.....rmbr years ago pierre van hooijdonk (ask burkie if I spelt that right)at forest did the same thing and he was forced back and played how embarrassing for him.

Great performance by him yesterday, he was involved in everything! 3 assists for the goals, he could of had one himself if he had been selfish, but he played Feghouli in with a superb pass... Carroll will take the headlines for that finish but before he scored, my MOM would of been big Mick! Superb, and all this whilst sick with the flu!

Andy Carroll...
