The Jack Factor

Submitted by boogerscaravan on

Jack Wilshere - world beater when fit? Plaster of Paris wearer most of the time or just unlucky? He's still young and if he stops falling out of Nightclubs and off of Sunbeds in Ibiza. What's the consensus if we have a bid???? If it's 15-20 million with add ons and he shapes up, what do we think?????

Where will it all end

I remember picking up an evening newspaper back in the mid- seventies, 77 I think and the big headline on the back page was Dalglish to sign for Liverpool from Celtic for 500,000 pounds. Thinking has the world gone mad. Yesterday I read that PSG are prepared to offer £190 million for Neymar. You pay 15 to 20 million for an average player now. The bubble has to burst sometime.

the dreaded knock in training

Submitted by hammergirl on

well seasons almost on us and in our trip to Germany players are falling like flies....Lanzini the latest to get a knock in training so he is not going to be risked in the betway cup..ogbonnas pulled up in training so theres another fernandes another knock on top of that kouyate out until the huddersfield game same with Antonio..feghouli who is soon to be gone has a strategic knock in training so unavailable sicknote has no sign of recovering i think he is now rivaling Darren Anderton for least amount of football ever played in there careers....apparently sakho looking strong and will start training with the first team shortly so expect him to pick up a slight knock in training...so my only question is what kind of training are we bloody well doing? MMA!! jeeez cant wait to hear Harts picked up a knock followed by chicharito....

Is it enough?

Although they don't come right out and say it, listening to Sullivan and Bilic, it seems we are finished our transfer business, except, possibly, for a couple of young players for the future (a.k.a. Academy Signings). Already the news is that we won't be getting Keita Balde (aw, just missed him, had that bid accepted but he wants to stay in Serie A and play for Milan). And then there's that "one in, one out" policy -- FFP and just can't afford new additions, and all that. You know the rhetoric by now. What I'm asking is, is it enough business? There were a few recent posts to the effect that if you look at how much we've spent and how much we had come in, we've actually underspent. I think that's right. And we could use at least one more proven striker. It doesn't have to be Hernandez quality -- we could afford to take a bit of a punt -- but another would really help. Do you agree? Who should we be looking at?

Lanziniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

2 years ago today he signed for us...like many ok all of us we said WHO then saw him in that euro game for first time and thought mmm looks a bit lightweight for the prem...oh how wrong can you be....a terrific player make that a special player....Barca willing to pay £70million for coutino well Lanzini just as good so we have one helluva player and seemingly a very nice chap not a pouty prima donna like he who shall go unnamed here.
