The International Break

Never a great time and long wait for the Hammers to return to the real business of hopefully giving Spudz the run a round.

So, for something to think about, I thought I would try to pick the best player we have ever taken in transfer from a fellow current Premier League competitor. I came up with the following:

Arsenal - Stewart Robson
Chavski - Carlton Cole (close call with Peter Braybrook)
Spudz - Matty Etherington
Everton - David Unsworth
Brighton - Couldn't think of anyone
Bournemouth - Carl Fletcher
Man City - Zabaletta
Man United - Jesse Lingard
Aston Vanilla - David James
Fulham - Tony Gale
Newcastle - Scotty Parker
Forest - Antonio
Brentford - Benny
Ipswich - Cressy
Leicester - again... no idea!
Palace -Budgie Burn
Southampton - Jose Fonte
Wolves - Matty Jarvis
Liverpool - Andy Carroll

Do you agree? Ideas on Leicester and Brighton?

Not for me. Matty was always first choice out wide, played more games that Zam who played second fiddle to the other strikers at the time. Thought we let him leave too early although he did say something about better betting in Stoke :o)

Southampton I say Ward-Prowse. He's still ours and I think we miss him so far this season.

The Soler, Alvaraez, Rodrigues foreign player for a foreign manager scenario is not working for me. He'd be in my team, quality if used correctly??

Ward Mouse is probably one of the most ineffectual signings in our history. Bought for dead ball opportunities, had the corners taken from him by Bowen and couldnt hit a barn door with a free kick. Rarely made a forward pass and never a tackle.

I think Soler has potential, Rodrigues is slower than Slowczech!
