Away Days

Submitted by ANTKB on

I'm looking forward to Norwich away again this coming Saturday with Oliver, Delia's pies after a few beers, but I have experienced a few over the years so come one.......share your memories of your Away Day experiences over the years!

March 1980 against the then Swansea Town at the old Vetch Field. Had a Police escort off the train and wondered why as we walked through a Memorial Gardens type picturesque Park. Then out of nowhere loads of Swansea fans lept out from behind bushes etc and started lobbing rocks and bottles at us.....Oh how we laughed, bloody sheep shaggers!!!!

Funny you should mention that,i went to cardiff away donkeys years ago,& noticed down some backstreet some bloke actually "sheep shagging!!!....
Turns out it was some nutter with a blow up ewe on a stag weekend!!;)

But peterborough away last time in the chumps,6,000 hammers in a 10,000 capacity is not to be sniffed at...funniest moment for me the hammers fans in one stand were singing to us hammers in another stand-"we forgot that you were here"...;)

No Delia Smith pies on sale any more, got down there 5 minutes early, and no alcohol allowed to be served at half time? I must have seen about 2,600 people looking like Father Jack shouting 'fecking drink!'
